Need help in pricing 1977 Master Angler

I'm looking at a 77 MA to buy no motor no trailer.
I have not been out to the boat yet but owner says that floor has no soft spots and transom is good, but I know it's only a matter of time. The console was pulled to inspect the gas tank and he says it was good but I will replace it just to be safe and not have to do it again in a year. It comes with the original console and the bench/cooler seat also

He would like to even trade me for my 17 Stump Jumper with a 25 HP Tohatsu and trailer that is in Great shape.

the boat althiugh dirty seems like it not to bad but pics lie all the time

I have always wanted a MA and I want to move on it quickly if the numbers work out

What do you think it could be worth?

Comments please as soon as possible

Keep this away from Strick, he'll want to offer $821.

For $821.00 it has to be turn key!

seriously I think what bigshrimpin said would be a realistic place to start.

I would not pay any more than $300.00 and only if there is $21.00 in loose change inside. :D

Well I drove over to see the boat today and it was in the condotion I thought it would be. 1st it was real dirty all over. The floor has 1 soft spot to the left of the center console and the transom was solid. What I did like was that all the parts were there and it di not have to mant hole in the console or the boat.

So I drove it home :D (notice the trailer only has 1 axle) and begun cleaning and inspecting the whole boat.

My plans are to rewire, pull tank and inspect, change all the gas hoses, eleminate the aux engine braket, compound and wax, reinstall the console after it is done, buy rocket launcher and t top.

Here are some pics after I cleaned her up a bit

Very nice project. I just got a 77MA myself a few weeks ago. Mine won't see water for a few years.

there is a nice 150HP HPDI on S, FL craigs that would be a fine addition to your project.

Wish I had the money for a paddle right now.

But I would like to get the max hp engine on it.

It always seems like you need the extra ponies after you load the boat with all coolers rods etc... and 3 fat friends.

I am thinking down the line of a 200hp opti, yami or etec

That 150 would perform very repsectfully. Ask Fr. Frank. He's got a 90 on a 20' Seafari and it does VERY nicely and Very economically. That 200 maybe more weight than you really want, not that the hull can't handle it.

and the transom was solid.

FWIW, without an engine mounted on it to bounce up and down, you can't tell if the transom is solid.

My transom had a bit of play when I bounced the big Honda. The glass guy thought it was probably fine, but I had him replace it anyway. He opened her up and found that all the wood had rotted.

I only mention this because it might be wise to replace and raise the transom before you repower.

Some times its better not to know - just kidding welcome to the rarest SeaCraft family - I can help with the engine when your ready - they will be Etec's.

doesn't look to bad overall though - why do they put the throttle on the left???? I'm retarded left handed - at least you can change that LOL

Congrats its will be a great Miami boat, I think they were made there ;)

also if you ever take the rod holders off please trace a paper outline - I have lost at least $500 worth of rods off mine- and no I'm not kidding
