Is this "WRATH"?

There is a nice io 23 with a for sale sign that can be seen from 28.

If so, I can vouch for it being a great looking boat. Located not less than 1/2 mile from the awesome 27 tug, the last few albin 26's, and chatham fish brine tanks. Talk about good karma.

This boat looks alot like mine 73 i/o same colors. Nice boat .Is the board behind the leaningpost in the picture to help get the tuna onboard?

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter built

Hi, yes, that piece of wood is a custom made tuna slide.

chipmorgan 08-16-2009 11:49 PM

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter built

The tuna slide and a live well are included with the boat.

Dunno if you saw the BFT that flipped the seacraft in the bay. Any thoughts? Do you have any action shots of that tuna slide in action?

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

Not that anyone needs convincing of the sc ride, but i can attest to the rock solid tracking of the i/o in the slop. Mine's a tank. Not that I need one, but I priced out a new, complete motor from merc this year for 6000. Not a bad repower price if it ever comes down to that.
Good luck with the sale.

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

The boat is still for sale, so I am still fishing, of course! I have seen the great whites off the tip of Monomoy - swam right under the boat. They seem to be laying in Butler's Hole until feeding time - the seals. No pictures of the tuna slide in use...too much action when a giant bluefin is caught. Maybe next time I go out, I'll have someone bring a camera. I'll post the picture - of course, if I'm lucky enough to catch one this year!!

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

Thanks for the nice plug for the I/O. I prefer it - gives a nice ride. The boat is a dry boat - not a wet ride at all.

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

is that a slide in the pic or more of a teeter board? the wood looks a lot longer than a slide? hmmm...this is on my short list for the winter.

chipmorgan 09-18-2009 01:14 AM

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

It's hard to tell from the picture. My tuna slide seems wider. So, that may be a tetter board in the picture.

I was curious about fuel burn, do u have any #s .I just bought the same boat back in December except a tr drive and carb . Also came set up with a tip board and winch set up but previous owner said not to pull over 350 over the side ? Good luck with the sale wish I had seen it before buying mine

chipmorgan 04-24-2011 12:54 AM

Re: 1973 23 ft SeaCraft center console potter buil

Hi, there are so many variables that affect the fuel burn - wind speed, wind direction, tide, etc - that it's tough to give you an answer... I pulled an 800+ pound tuna up my tip board (tuna slide), so I think that number the previous owner gave you is low... Or maybe you need a new one. Good luck with your new boat! Chip
