Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
I have to say I love this boat my family loves this boat. With this market it sure might will be available in 5 mths. The cockpit space is amazing the ride as you all know theres nothing like it the only problem is the cabin space its great for storage and you can sleep two in there fine ( especially with my full enclosures canvas it keeps it dry and the bugs out) problem being is i got three now and another on the way and we love to sleep out on the boat.
I have always wondered why Potter didn't just use the safari cap on the 23's too would've given you the extra head room in the cabin. I was toying around with the idea of keeping her finding a project safari removing the cap and putting it on the 23??? (PIPE DREAMS).............And the work and cost i dont think it be worth it |
Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
The cabin looks good to me but I would just want that for the baby and the wife to get out of the weather. The dog and I will be fine.I can see it getting cramped with three but it could be a great tackle storage area. Its a great boat for me because we are just starting a family and I love to fish so its like having the best of both worlds. She would like the cabin and bimini top ahd the chairs and windshield to keep her and the kid dry.I would like the whole deal cause if mommas happy everybodys happy. But dont get your hopes up on me right now.Right boat wrong time. :( good luck she is real pretty and I know you hate to see her go.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
Very nice Tsunami/Sceptre!! I was noticing it has vent windshields panes on BOTH the Starboard AND port/passinger side. Interesting. Mine is only on the drivers side. Wonder when they stopped on the passinger side. Yours was a 1973 mine is 1977, I guess some where in between.
|
Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
Thats a good question i thought everyones opened liked that??? Does yours have the hardware on the passenger side or nothing at all?
|
Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
My father's '82 opens on both sides.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
I understand the port vent window was eliminated due to the center window opening to the left. This caused a problem and eliminating it also saved money and made the boat less costly.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
Beautiful job on the boat and good luck with the sale! I was wondering where you got the emblem that goes next to the
"Sea Craft" lettering? |

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
Floor is solid as a rock form the time i got them and still to this day. Boat was out of water for a number of years prior to me purchasing and was covered. A few cracks where ground out and and fiberglasses and the center hatch between the two helms seat was recored last year. Fuel lines where replaced when engine was purchased and gas tank was removed and inspected. It isnt the original but unknown when replaced. Wiring was completely redone not very clean behind the helm in cabin but all are replaced and new.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT TSUNAMI (RESTORED)
Fred- i got the emblem made when i had the registration number done. My dad as i am is a SeaCraft nut and he has the product catalogs from 1970-1979 so i brought it to them and they copied it ut i believe you can get it on ebay too.
