Bugatti Collection [1/2]

2009 Bugatti 16 C Galibier Concept
Revealed at a private event to customers and what Bugatti refers to as "opinion-makers" this past weekend at the firm's home in Molsheim, the 16 C Galibier is a conceptual proposal for a four-door, four seat sedan that could very well go into production in the next couple of years. According to Bugatti's current president, Dr. Ing. Franz-Josef Paefgen, the Galibier is one of several concept studies with which the company is considering for the future of the marque. Power comes from the works 8-litre 16-cylinder motor with two-stage supercharging. It can churn out between 588kW (800hp) and 735kW (1,000hp), all of which is channeled to all four wheels using the AWD system. Standard fuel is petrol but ethanol can be used as an alternative. To stop it running away from the driver is a set of powerful carbon ceramic brakes.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport enters production
Few cars carry as much prominence as the Bugatti Veyron, famous for its ultra-high price tag, striking looks and other-worldly speeds, but there will always be demanding customers wanting more. For them, Bugatti is offering an even more exclusive ‘roofless’ version labeled the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport and it has just entered production at the company’s high-tech assembly facility in Molsheim, France. To mark the production start of the new model, which will be limited to 150 units, Bugatti has hosted a special day for enlisted buyers to test drive some pre-production versions at Cannes, in northern France. We’ve already known about the car for some time now as it first appeared on the auto scene last August at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

1000 HP and AWD, wonder what the towing capacity is? Seems like it would make a good SC towing machine.

Well Ken, my truck is going to be much cheaper for me to replace than Tiger will spend to replace his Escalade....especially with all Elin's service fees included!!!!!!! Naw, the new Bugatti won't tow the 'ol 23' SF, they forgot to install the transmission cooler. However I'm thinking the mileage on the Veyron will equal my SeaCraft's.....about two miles to the gallon, however my MPG is at 30 mph on smooth seas not 225 mph!!

Especially since all the links lead to a website wanting to sell you the pictures... Registered 1/07 and one post on 1/07 - maybe just coincidence.

It's stealth marketing- create the "BUZZ". They must think we are some sort of cult collectors of sea going yachts of proir year vintage.

....Well come to think of it, we are!! Just not in that price strata.

Good one Ken.......ya gotta keep him in line!!!

It was one thing to get wacked in the door, however it was another to get knocked into a power pole and shear it off....it was rather exciting when the power lines fell on the truck burning holes in the body. But what really pissed me of was my CSC plate wrapped around and stuck to the pole, I guess that voided Capt. Chuck's warranty.

I think the fact we have "Spidercrab" and his family on the site would be the reasoning for the BUZZ.

He would the perfect customer for a 1M car, don't you think?

Spidey what say you?

Facebook is addicting! Go Finny! If any of that $$ is real, you could allocate some of it to a CSC Gathering with all the displaced CSC'ers who have been driving around 24/7 looking for "The CSC Anchorage Area" since 2005 :o :o :D :D. Seriously, the FL group currently is on hiatus OR Hyannis, I'm not sure which and Matt and Gail (wavelength) even sold their museum quality yellow 23SF back to a guy in Texas :(
