88 SF is it considered a classic?

So, is that CSC hazing humor for newbies? I've been following threads here as a casual observer for a few years now, not really knowing whether or not my baby fit or not. Aside from CSC and maybe one or two other sites, there is not alot of info about "older" SeaCraft's out there. As far as pic's go, I'll post some soon. Not much to look at these days, but still a proud owner.

I have an `89 20sf and I haven`t been sent to Band Camp yet.
Would I rather have a Moesly,Potter,CSY,SIC?
Yes I would, but mine has a dry solid deck and transom and original gelcoat. How could I not? The "Captain" may need some work though. Welcome to the clinic.
Cheers,
GFS

Re: 88 SF is it considered a classic?

An 88 has 8 plus years less rot than an original Potter. An original 88 that was used may not need a complete rebuild yet. That being said, a Potter Era is what people look for 1st.

I've been into enough of these mid 70's boats that I'm not sure I would be bragging about "potter built". Someone here has some marketing talent ;)
