Drove home from Islamorada to Oak Hill, Fl. with the tower up.. US-1 to Turnpike to I-95 at Jupiter then to exit 244 on I-95. It will clear all stop lights and over passes. It's the dad-gum trees up my drive way that I have to dodge. There are two 1/4-20 bolts that hold my tower on. There are sockets in the splash well and the bolts on the back frame of the T-Top. I can have it up or down in minutes... See ya, Ken |
Re: cobia tower added
Dang Ken......I saw your observation tower last year in Key Largo, it's very coooool!! I'd really like to have one, however I'm too old to climb up into one of these "towers". Not like you young guys!

handicap accessible (ADA Approved)) You can climb up from either side. Located at the rear of the T-Top makes for a smooth ride.... Normally my buddy Brian will not come down until, well lets say, he has to GO.... My one rule when someone is up there, no dangling from up top.. :D See ya, Ken |
Re: cobia tower added
Mine breaks down/folds back into the rear of the boat when I trailer. No problems there, takes about 1 min to fold back.

Re: cobia tower added
thanks for the reply. don't plan to drive down the road with it up,heck i can't pull it out of the backyard for the power line but it only take a few min to undo 4 bolts.should of built a hinge into it. the cobia are making a nice run thru the panhandle right now,it's been good for 3 weeks now. hope to get 1 this week

Re: cobia tower added
Sorry to disappoint you Sammy, but that is not me
in the tower, that would be my long time friend Brian. When we start out the inlet he is up top and won't come down till it's time to go.. One year he hooked a 50lb'er from up top and never came down till I shot it in the head and gaffed it. See ya, Ken |
