Test

I am looking for a boat owner willing to let me use their boat to try out an idea I have. I would use mine but I do not currently own one. Idea is this, build and install a HermCo single engine 20" offset fiberglass bracket with a 4" or 6" offset Bobs jack plate. I would provide all parts and labor at my cost. The boat will need to be in running condition so I can get performance numbers prior to the install for comparison and be delivered here to my shop for the work. If you are interested shoot me an email,

Re: Test

Maybe,

How long would you need it?
Could you wait til July? It is time to fish after all.

my transom is dry and solid and 25 in. The Teleflex and control cables would be long enough , but maybe not the power and harness.

Oh and it`s also a Tracker. Shhh.

Cheers,
GFS

Hi Don:

If you ever need a 23 footer for a twin floatation bracket let me know. I would love for you to experiment on my boat. Shoot I just might want to help foot some of the expenses.

Hi HermCo,
I'm game, especially from the SeaCraft bracket legend... I even already have a jackplate if that helps. I have a 23. It's been casually for sale and I bet a bracket would help. I may even have you do some additional work while it's there. There are plenty of pics here: http://www.classicseacraft.com/forum...b=5&o=&fpart=1 Let me know if this fits your test program.

Re: Test

How about an 18? None of my rigging would be long enough though.

Re: Test

I have an 18 with an aluminum bracket w/ 22"setback and an etec 150. Could this be of use or do you need a bracketless boat for comparison?

Re: Test

I am looking for a bracketless to do a comparison. Thanks for the offer tho. :D

Re: Test

my 20 sf has a 25" merc on it with no bracket. that is one of the requirements?

hermco 05-06-2010 09:45 PM

Re: Test

Yes, the motor must be a 25" shaft length to work with the bracket. :D

Re: Test

How about the old Wavelength. You did the transom a couple years ago. Now has a 1999 250 Johnson. Many more upgrades and improvements.

How about a 77' MA. 175hp Johnson. How long will you need it. I plan on doing the floor, new motor and some other work to it this winter myself. Maybe you could keep it and do the whole boat for me if the price is right. Call me 252-342-2509 and we can talk if you are interested.
