Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
My 21 is now for sale, going to a larger vessel with overnight capabilities, hopefully. I hate to part with her. Allot of work went into her. All composite construction, eglass biax, and epoxy. I have core samples evincing construction. 1999 Yamaha SWS 0x66 EFI stainless prop. less than 80 hours, all digital gauges, plus digital fuel management. Average mpg is 2.7 offshore. Dual Poly Tanks for 95 total gallon capacity. Hydraulic steering Turnkey only needs minor cosmetic work on decks. This beast is a real wave killer, recently out in 9-12 ft seas handled very well, bow did not dip below a wave once. The ride is incredible regularly in 3-4' seas the boat may pound 1 or two times on an entire trip.
Under normal economic situations I would be asking roughly 20K more, but its all realative now. And it does need very minor cosmetic attention to the interior gelcoat, and the seats need recovering- light mold stains . $28,500. Please feel free to look at all the albums. There are some pictures of the boat before it was finished, so you may ignore those. I believe theboat is worth every penny, if you are genuinely interested, but feel diferently on price, please PM me and I will review. http://s233.photobucket.com/home/bsc...uploads?page=3 |

Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
Thank you for the compliments, It was allot of hard work.
Because of the humidity, I had to be carefull and work only on the best days, all the bonds were "wet on wet" chemical crosslinking bonds, so the work had to be staged. I am sorry here are more pics and of the interior, plus forward cuddy, sorry for the mess in the cuddy, and the bird droppings on the sole. No Hose nearby. http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee58/bscapo1/ [image]http://http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee58/bscapo1/IMGP0405.jpg?t=1273662683[/image] |

Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
Thank you Terry,
If we didn't have another 21 hull, I would never, ever sell it. I want a Moesly 27', and so does my wife and child. I pray the 27 Rides as well as this, I will be giving up allot. You will see, the ride is unbelievable! That's where all of the value is. |

Thanks. Just curiuos how it self bails with the baitwell full and two or three guys

Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
It does great in evacuating water quickly( I left the baitwell intake valve open, and let me tell you at high speed the high speed pickup works really well, the floor got soaked). The scuppers are above the waterline, even when there is lots of weight 3-4 big guys at the stern, I sometimes fish with 5&6 people and its never been an issue. I purposely raised the floor, in the lake pics you will see the waterline is at the shine & corner of hullside, transom and chine. Because of the boats deep forefoot and Me having xtra weight up front(Large fuel tank forward) and the cabin, I purposely raised the sole where the bow is.
Before I put in the stringer and sole, I took it to the lake to see where the waterline would lie. The bootstripe is NOT an indicator of the waterline on this boat, you can use that as an index to see where the bottom of the scuppers are, in relationship to where the true waterline is, look at the picture of the stern, and you will see the scupper well above. Additionally the all f the cavities are filled with USCG polyurethane foam flotation. On this boat, in Hindsight, I don't believe it was necessary to raise the floor, but it did not hurt anything by doing so. I had 2 naval engineers helping me with the plans, lamination, schedule etc. |

Funny.......No sir, Respectfully, if I was, I woulda gotten her.I would have not done that to a Seacraft fellow.I would have bid about 8K.
I wasnt after one at that time. I have always loved the 27, no doubt, didnt even know it happened until about 2 weeeks ago. I was shocked and blown away- you stole that thing.Congratulations- I hope you keep her. I am done with projects for a while, we have got the other 21 on the burner now. I would like to meet you and take a look at your vast collection, and at the 27. Take Care! |

Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
Absolutely!That's a gread idea Sandy.
Anyone who is genuinely interested please send serious offers for consideration. I understand the economic envirnment, and folks are looking for killer deals. This is a deal, I am asking a low figure because it is not show room quality and would require a little interior finish maybe $200 and some labor to get her to showroom quality. |

Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
oh my god are you really going that low and why didn't you do it two years ago when i wanted one if i could only sell mine anyone want a 23!!!!
good luck i think it will be gone very soon at that price just wish it could be to me great boat i love it |
Re: Original Moesly 21 for sale! 1964 21 Rare 1 of 5
Thanks for the kind words.
Yes , I am really going that low, it's the market and economy, my house is valued @ 1/3 of what it was 3.5 years ago, the only good news about that is that I can push for the assesment in taxes to be lowered. I don't like that I have to sell it that low, I am trying to stimulate a very quick sale, I have a small window of opportunity for something else. If the boat does not sell in two weeks, it's coming off the market, as my window will have passed. |
