1974 25 Seafari Twin I/O

i have no affiliation to this boat what some ever first off. i posted it in the for sale section but i wanna make sure all you SeaCraft addicts see this such its such a rare boat. i know there are rules about posting stuff for sale without paying the $25 dollars, so if one of you guys gets her hopefully youll donate the $25. all i know about this boat is its a 1974 25ft Seafari with twin mercruiser outdrives and is being sold by a brokerage place. i almost bought a 74 tsunami from this guy b4 i got the boat i have now but he didnt really provide much info at all unless i gave him a deposit so i spent my cash elsewhere.. his loss. i actually grew up on the boat i was gonna buy from him, weird i ran across it. if anyone is interested send me a PM and ill try to find out some more info on this rare boat. im posting this because id rather one of you guys get this boat, people who appriecate it, then some one who buys it uses it for a couple years and sends it to the dump.

alright talked to the broker today. the boat is owned by a 90+- year old man. believe he is the original owner to his knowledge. he said man just wants to get rid of boat becuz of his age. hasnt been run in about a year or more. broker said it could be sold for probably 7 or 8 grand but the way he was talkin i believe it would probably be had for around 4 or 5 grand.. money talks. i dont believe it has a trailer since it has been kept in dry storage all its life. no bottom paint. it need some cosmetic attention but seemed structurally sound. i didnt really jump around on it just noticed some gel coat scrapage. broker is getting ready to post it on boat trader probably tomorrow. he said he already had two emails on it and it hasnt been advertised yet so i know it was one of you boys. hope one of you guys snatch it up. like i said i think it could be bought cheaper then he is askin owner wants it gone. brokers name is benny. tell him shane sent ya.

O'k I admit I have been talking to Benny. As of this afternoon still has not quoted a price. Seem to be waiting to see what boattrader will bring. Looks like a well kept boat. The only thing is that big flat aft deck.
I will continue to pursue.

This is the Brokerage that I bought mine from. Benny is a salesman. He didn't seem to want to talk until the topic of money came up. Maybe there were a lot of tire kickers around. He is a man of his word though, everything we agreed on was done.

Congats and Good Luck! Get the check book out and do it right. You'll be rewarded both in personal satisfaction and maybe some bucks. This is the only kind of market that gives you a chance to break even.

Glad to see a CSC member picked it up. You can count the number of 25 Seafari owners on CSC without taking your shoes off, and now you're one of us.

Really? I thought there were a lot of 25 SeaFari owners on the site?

I know of eight counting myself.

Not so many in total numbers, but considering its about 10 per cent of all the 25s ever built, that's a lot.

The depth of experience with 25s on this forum, not to mention Seacrafts in general, has been a huge help with mine.

Only 80 produced total, I thought there were a lot more due to there popularity on the site.Hmmm.

You guys feel all alone....

How many 27 Seamaster's have you seen lately!
Not to mention the only 15 Scampi known to exist in Maine!

Well, eight owners, but those eight account for eleven 25 Seafaris. strick has two and Bigfluke has three. So almost 14% are accounted for on CSC. Classic Seacrafts are a disease. Someone should do a poll; "how many Seacrafts do you own?" Ken NoBones probably wins the prize for most diseased. :D Area 442 appears to be littered with them.

Yes Sir!!! Of all the quotes on CSC.com this is one of the very best, kinda says it all........that's why "area 442" has such high security. :)

At least we are all assured that these vessels will
not end up in the county dump!

See ya, Ken

Sorry, Ken, I couldn't help myself. And I swear I didn't know this sadistic crew would pile on like they did. Tough crowd...

BTW, when are you going to get moving on that 27?

Oh what satisfaction, I'm sure Sandy feels as I do. Actually we love Ken and Patti it's just so much fun to "pile on" when we get a chance. Rest assured Ken never misses his chance to pile on us. My problem is I'm jealous Ken has the room and funds to maintain the "area 442" SeaCraft collection. Unfortunately I have a small yard and my wife would notice an extra two or three SeaCrafts very quickly, that would not be a pretty sight!!

PS: Any more free SeaCrafts out there?
I feel that strange itch comin' on again..

No worries Dave!

When it cools down, we will all parachute in from vintage Goonie Birds with grinders in hand, rucksacks full of Corona, and bags of brass for the re-loader. I gotta get me one of them Kitties.

Ken, there is a Scepter in an industrial park that has been there forevah. Looks like it just needs some buffin`. Has a hard top too.

Cheers,
GFS
