Bertram project...
I did not want to derail Island Traders thread.
Here is a link to a Bertram 20 Bahia Mar project that I am working on. I do not have the space or skill to manage the cosmetics so she is currently at the 'painter' right now. http://simplifying.net/phpbb/viewtop...t=1028&start=0 I welcome comments, etc. Ian. |
Re: Bertram project...
Very nice work. Those Bertram 20s are as rare out west as the old Seacrafts. I think they're sweet. Hope you'll post some pics when she's done. Meanwhile I'll be watching your progress on the thread you've posted here. Clearly that will be a family boat. Looks like everyone is helping out :D
I see you closed in the transom - are you going to a bracket or re-cutting to replace the stringer drive with a different drive? Forgive me if I overlooked that info in your other thread... |
Re: Bertram project...
Ian, Nice Bertram!! Where did the stringers come from that you used on the Bertram 20.
Nice work! |
Re: Bertram project...
Nice Bert, don't see many of the smaller Berts around me. How many small Bahia-Mar's were made I wonder. I also really like another Ray Hunt, Hiliner. Their version of the Bahia-Mar. The Bert is still cooler. Great boat.

She is in Duratec VE primer now... http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/us...0/P2190286.JPG Ian. |
Re: Bertram project...
Getting closer.
I had at one time a 22' Chris Craft Cutlass, and the pro file is very similar. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/IMG_2133.jpg However the Bertram has the ride. |
