FREE! 1978 Sceptre

Well as most of you know I'm running a surplus of SeaCraft
projects.... So it is time to thin the fleet.

This 1978 23 Sceptre is the sister ship to Capt. Chucks
The serial numbers are sequential.

I bought this boat on eBay in 2004 for $560.00
Tarpun, my buddy Brian and myself made the trek
to Deville, LA. to bring her to Florida.
It was a 14 hour ride out and back.

It has been sitting ever since. The new home was under
construction at this time over the next 2 1/2 years.

Now that the 27 is taking the lead for the re-do,
I figured this would be a worth while project for
one our members that would want it.

The trailer it is on is not part of the deal.
I do have a single axle EZ loader with brand new
15 inch tires that have 50 feet on them (Concrete pad
to side of barn ) That you can have for the cost of the tires $200.00.

Or you can bring your own trailer and we will move it over.
We have the stuff to make it easy right here at Area 442.

I have a clean Florida title with the antique registration.

Again she is FREE!!!! :D

It needs a total tear down as it has serious nose rash.
(Previous owner ran into a dock)
It is stripped, just the way I bought it.

I would like to see one of our members get it or
a friend of a member...

Here are the pics....

This bidding was almost as cool as the Barrett-Jackson auction for Carroll Shelby's original 427 Cobra!!! That Ken is quite the tough businessman!! Congrats!!

Does the congrats go to Fred, or to Ken? ;)

Re: FREE! 1978 Sceptre

Hummmm.......good question. I was thinking more to Fred for beating Ken down with those negotiating skills, however could also be congrats to Ken who I'm sure was able to make Patti happy by reducing his boat inventory and making some really big $$$ in this down economy. I guess it could go either way......

Re: FREE! 1978 Sceptre

I don't know which way to vote Ken got some points on the home front and Fred got the " free puppy" :D

Shoot guys,

This is a win win "Grinder Ready" stimulus project!!
This is how you stimulate the economy the old fashion way. ;)

Glad it worked out for both of us.. :D

BTW: Patti gave up counting boats after the 8th one
showed up...(not all SeaCrafts mind you)

See ya, Ken

OH my!!!....I'm honored!!! However I was wondering, can the "Chief of Staff" declare a holiday to go fishing and beer drinking whenever the weather, tides and moon are good, or in most cases just marginal will suffice, instead of working??? If so, I'll be happy to serve Mr. President.

Blue Heron, Sec of State

I must humbly decline the appointment, sir. I'm afraid Foreign Policy is not one of my strengths. More importantly, I'm fairly certain I couldn't make it through a Senate confirmation hearing without making some highly inappropriate comments. I would hate to embarrass the NOBONES administration right out of the gate.

Thats where you are wrong Dave....
You would be perfect. After all the lies our country
has been fed over the years a dose of reality and truth
would be perfect....
Besides, the incoming Senate, I think got the message
in November!! ;)

I approve this message, Ken

Hey Ken,

If BlueHeron succeeds in abdicating his national responsibility, can I have Sec. of State.

My marching order being, "Either you're with us or against us. If you're against us then we'll send the Marines to kill you and let God sort you y'all out!" ...or something like that! ;) ;) ;)

Now now, I'm just kidding!

Gillie, Jim and I talked about the cure..
I think the threshold is about 6 or 7 boats at 1 time
then reality sets in!!
I did not even wimper when Jim and crew drove off yesterday.
So there is hope.

Jorge, just cleared Area 442 with the trailer headed south.
