Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Hi Father,
Thanks for responding! Heard you had moved. Loved for a previous loved boat, doesn't need much of anything, non trailerable, lines like old cigarette, performer, etc. |
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
The first boat that comes to mind is a Bertram 31. To go smaller the wahoo mentioned, or there was a lapstrake Chris Craft that always caught my eye. I think both of these were single engine.
I just fished on a Morgan a few weeks ago. It was about 29 feet. It was built in Fla. part of a commertial line of boats. |
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
How about finding 25 Bertram moppie or hardtop and converting to cc. Could keep twin I/O or convert to outboard with bracket
Would give you the cuddy and a fine seaworthy vessel. |
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Not twins and you`ll have to make a cuddy.

Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
How about an early 27' Magnum?
Or a (rare) twin inboard early 30' Cigarette? Or finally, how about a Tempest 32' (32' inboards were only made in '87-'89, and came with surface piercing propulsion system. The propeller shafts exited the transom, and the rudders were mounted on brackets about 2' behind the transom) |
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Hard to find but the best option to fit the 2x inboard w/ small cc is the 27' blackfinn (like contender fish around) There was on for sale in Stuart ( 2x yanmars) not too long ago. Search 27' blackfinn 1997-1999 to locate. I have it on my search for yacht world and boat trader but none have come up in over a year. There is one in Ft Pierce w/ 2x outboards too but not currently for sale :(.
Another great option is the Mirage MFG 32'. Some came with 2x volvo I/O diesels and the 34' model had a bracket and 2x outboards. http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2009.../United-States The Mirage has a great set up with a full (sleeps 4) cabin, stand up head, full walk around, huge fuel capacity and trailerable to boot. |

I don't know what the budget is like, but you might want to look down this road. CC w/ small cuddy pushed by twin Cummins 330's. Good luck.

Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Thanks for all the replys. All excellent suggestions.
Bertam 31, nice platform, great boat, little wet,(understatement!). Same with the Strike 29. Sandy, love the Conch, probably my next move for a CC outboard boat. Blackfins are a little wet also. Father Frank, love the Cigarette 30, now I need to find one. |
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Oly,
That Conch isn`t ob. Brandy new 315 Yanmar. Maybe a removable cuddy cap like WhiteWater? |

Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Maybe a 28', 32' Cary, maybe a Rybo-Runner, one of my personal favorite Fl. boats , ahead of their time. I'm sure where you're at you know all about it.

Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
Did they make the Cary in a CC? And I will look at the Rybo Runner.
|
Re: Looking for a 26' - 32' CC, twin inboards.
I believe some of the 32's were cc. Most were dual console. The older Rybo's, especially the stepped ones are one of nicest boats ever made in that size, most are bracketed though, but both boats run great. You also have the older dc Makos but they push water like a tugboat with outboards let alone i/b.

I didn;t see Shamrock on the list and wanted to throw it out there.
The 26's are all single screw but you can get a 29 or my favorite the 31GS. |
