Already to be registered
I have spent all my money getting the boat ready I don’t have enough to register it and pay all the MASS taxes :( . Hopefully by the end of May it will be in the water!
pulled out the carpet in the cabin rewired bilge added kicker bracket took out about 200 feet of unnecessary wire(no exaggeration) added am/fm radio new hubs and tires on front axle rewired trailer waxed everywhere redid all teak and list could on and on and on and there is still so much to do before it is perfect if there is such thing as a perfect boat :D Its hard to keep it clean without a cover. http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p...6/IMG_2575.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p...6/IMG_2577.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p...6/IMG_2576.jpg http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p...6/IMG_2574.jpg |

Why do you think everyone is bailing out of the NE and
heading to Florida...... No BS taxes!!!! Taxachussett's... That name has been around for a while! See ya, Ken |
Re: Already to be registered
Great looking boat. If you are in Scituate at all this season look me up; I have a '78 Sceptre I/O named "Water Rat".
Good luck, Chris |

Re: Already to be registered
Basswacker, thanks for the kind words. Please look me up in when in Scituate, the cooler is usually full.
Scott, good to hear from you. We changed from Charlestown to Scituate a couple of seasons ago; making me realize how long its been since catching-up with you and Jason. Hopefully there will be some type of CSC meeting this summer. Hope you and your family are well. Chris |
Re: Already to be registered

registers his boat and vehicles in Florida.... A whole lot cheaper and you do not have to have that goofy boating license that NH requires. :D He has used my address for years. Even his DL is Florida issued. ;) See ya, Ken |
Re: Already to be registered
And the best part is the "law" has no idea where Area 442 is.

Re: Already to be registered

Re: Already to be registered
It was $35 for my MA here in NH. And the law only applies to boating in NH. Which is mostly a pointless exercise with a boat like these.
|
Re: Already to be registered
its cost me about $150 just to register the boat and i have yet to register the trailer.

for a two year registration here in Florida. He still uses the boat in NH. You can legally register your boats and vehicles in any state you want , for now! See ya, Ken Go ahead keep throwing good money after bad!! |
Re: Already to be registered
Yes Sir Mr. Ken.....you just gotta love the "antique vessel" registration for the 30+ year boats in FL. Only $6 a year. So that means if 30 years is $6 for my SeaCraft, at my age I should be registered at $3/year.

== penatrol (sp) sold at HD in the paint dept. Will make the faux wood dash look line new, |
Re: Already to be registered
Finally got to take it out today for about 2 hrs and everything was fine. The boat topped out at 40 @6100rpm. And for the little time that I was at the ramp 2 different guys recognized it as a SeaCraft and were impressed with it and it made me proud :D . I can think of very few boats that you can recognize right away without a name.

OOOOOOH! Sounds like to add some cup or a litttle more pitch!

Re: Already to be registered
The Prop is a s.s. 3 blade 15x17. what would happen if i got a 15x20 or 15x25?
|
Re: Already to be registered
She'd probably begin to bog down. How many RPM's do need to loose to meet Fr. Frank's recommendation of Max at Max at Max? Rule of thumb is 1 in. of pitch for every 200 RPMs. (I think!)

Re: Already to be registered
Going from a 17 to a 20 would be a pretty big jump, but could be possible i spose. 17 to 25??? fugedaboudit.
|
Re: Already to be registered
If you're getting 6100 with a 17"P, I suggest a 19". No more.
