1980 seacraft overnighter for sale
 

Bankruptcy says I must give away my 1980 overnighter for $500 (VERY FIRM, If you dont bring $500 you dont drive home with a boat). This is what you get: Boat, motor(175hp mercury) and trailer. This boat is in great shape for its age, but getting full of pine needles. It is #9 of only 12 or 13 made, it is a Potter hull. The motor injested water and #2 cyl has a hole (it was bore scoped).The gascap gasket is bad, alowwing water to get in tank every time it rains. The lower unit has been rebuilt, the carbs rebuilt, the steering cables rebuilt by CC marine then I drove it 1 mile and sucked the water in, was able to drive back to dock as motor still runs kinda. I am taking a beating on this so who ever gets it gets a deal (especially if you got a powerhead laying around. Boat is located in Lutz Fl.

And I got the thing to lift the engine and another doodad i think its for removing the flywheel. you get the whole shootin match all the cushions, radio, depth finder, new seats, stereo, speakers, new electrical panel. you just gotta clean tank, new gas cap, replace #2 cyl or powerhead, wash wax and go fishing, 50+ on speedo should be no problem.

Me too, yesterday :) I'm sure he'll get back to us, I think he's just got a lot going on.

PS what year is that merc? Anyone got a guess? I'm guessing 1981. A serial # would help.

The response is overwhelming. The first guy to repsond is getting the boat today. It that falls through the second guy with cash will get it. Thanks everyone (from lawyer too, he gets to spend the $)

I know but there is some screwy law about bankrupcy and $500 so I get screwed by the government AGAIN !!!

I'm not in the position to do it or I would, but isn't anyone willing to buy it for 500 and sell it for what it's worth and return the difference minus expenses to our unfortunate fellow travler?

Hey Matt,
Motor looks just like the '83 200 2.4L that were on my Seavette (cant really see the lower end, so I'm not certain). I believe the block was used for 150 - 200 hp. Great motors.

Overnighter, Sorry to hear of the issues. Good luck sorting things out. I hope you'll get regular rides from the future owner and that its one of the guys on the board.

Used Merc's even old ones are all over the place for next to nothing....

Who ever gets this beauty should be grateful as hell
and take the previous owner for a ride when she is running again!

It should be mine soon. There is a title issue with the VIN being 1 digit off. I hope to hear from him this week so I can pick it up since its about 30 mins away.

So, did you get the boat?

Is this rig still for sale??

I went up there with cash in hand but the VIN was 1 digit off on the title. The owner was going to contact me when he fixed it but I never heard back from him.
The boat needed work but for the price it was hard to beat.
