Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
As with last year and I think the year before .....
You are invited to stop by Friday Night, July 29th for some good food, drinks & great times with other CSC members. Very casual & informal ... Just BYOB plus something for the grill. Will have gas & charcoal grills going, plus extra fixings. Please come by AFTER 5pm. Before then, probably fishing. Located 3 houses North of Snappers Restaurant, on the oceanside, MM 94.5 Hope to see you! Carla & Skippertee |

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Carla,
Looks like Julie and I will be able to make it this year. We extended our reservation in Long Key until Saturday. We'll bring something to throw on the grill and probably Julie's home made mac and cheese. Dave |

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
300 ft. of hose should be here this week. Regs are sweet and ready. Generator lender unit Mon. May need a carb rebuild.
Compressor checked out nicely. Needs a snorkel. Ken, where did you get that shower head? Gettin` swelled out tomorrow, GFS |

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
The generator was shut down by gas starvation on a rotary valve.
The loaner had not been run in 4 years. The recoil went out. Shazbot. Pull the recoil and laugh. You would not believe what I saw as a fastener. A plastic wedge? Brought me back to my plywood go cart days. Generator`s runnin`. Pulled the carb and it looked good. No residue. Let your children run out of gas. The generator is loving the load. No hose as of yet? This is tight and I still need two fittings. Grainger can save the day. Loadin` up nicely, bought the spool. Love the ocean, GFS |

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Thanks Terry,
Got the gen late Thur...... pulled the carb and things looked sweet. Fired up 1st pull on the Restless Lady III this afternoon. We took her to the Breakers natch. The Motah is pretty quiet, but the compressor adds to the harmony. Mmmmm, Bugzzzzz Waiting on hose delivery. Cracker Jr. , Over and out. Any of our Northern Brethren need some sun block? 90 at 5? Sounds about right. |
Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Sandy, Do not buy any hose reels..
I have several proto type 1's in the barn that will be deeded over to you upon my arrival at Area MM 94.5.. ;) Also bringing swedger, sleeves and connectors. Ta ta, Ken |
Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Ken,
I have the female quick connectors with barbs. I can return the reel. Brian loved Denny`s boat. He`ll be a good addition to the clan. A newly converted Mako man. See ya soooon, Bug Man Denny has dubbed Cracker jr the Kevorkian Contraption. |

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Danny, I'm hoping our CSC guys are having better luck than a couple of my friends down there are. High winds, rain, cloudy water and so far not too much luck. Wishing them well!

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Don- If it was like our weather then there is going to be a decent start for next month's reg season due to less pressure

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
It was a tough "2 day" this year....
Most of my favorite places on the Atlantic were either covered up by grass or a bunch of short bugs! The wind had been blowin' for weeks prior which many of you know keeps things cloudy for diving. Here are a few pics from the Bug-BQ last night! Lil Kenny, with a fresh Hog Snapper with Capt. Denny! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/krn54/2Day035.jpg Denny with our unexpected Dove guest.. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/krn54/2Day025.jpg Lil Kenny got paid a visit as well http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/krn54/2Day012.jpg Myself with a little 1 on 1 http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/krn54/2Day017.jpg Carl & Jeanne with #1 son!!! Carla in background.. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/krn54/2Day045.jpg A big thanks to Dave & Julie (Blue Heron) with the extra bugs and Mac & cheese... Sandy (GFS) for the perfection grilling of the bugs.. Denny for keeping us all straight! :) Skip & Carla for puttin' up with us bozo's for 4 days!! Always good to see Carl & Jeanne... There is always next year!! We had a great time See ya, Ken |

This was Fri 7:15am. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...Outpost019.jpg Friday we went down to Bud n Mary`s. One of the Stanczyk brothers was going to the other side. No pic.....sorry Charlie. Great to meet Dan and Julie aka Blue Heron {great mac n cheese}. Always great sharing klnowledge and techniques. Skip and Carla have been busy making Carl and Jeanne proud. So nice to see the founders and chat about the early days. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...Outpost001.jpg The conditions were challenging. The hosts were awesome. The memories priceless. Thanks, GFS |
Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Thanks to Skip and Carla for hosting a very nice get together. It was a pleasure to finally meet Carl and Jeanne, and the food was without equal. Sandy did an absolutely perfect job cooking the bugs.

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Hey Ken, did ya notice how the painted background of the World Wide fish tank is peeling off. The folks there are not too happy, only been just over a year and it's falling apart. It cost big $$$ to drain and paint that tank, however I'm thinking they have plenty of money. Wish I could have made it back down Friday, sorry I missed the good times and Denny's "Pappy"!! Take care!!!

Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
Prev to this week, we had winds blowing hard, Snapper's flag stood straight out for days! Muckied up the waters big time.
Anyway, we started the week off right with a drink at Holiday Isle with Blue Heron (Dave) and his group along with our few. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...Mini-Group.jpg Afterwards threw some pork chops on the grill and NoBones#1Son (Little Kenny) did the honors of BBQing them. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...Mini-Kenny.jpg Wednesday & Thursday we went out for Lobster ... turned out to be a lot of seas for little CJ. After each wave, the landing was nice, but a bucket of water would come over the sides. Did I tell you bowriders are wet boats? NoBones thought I was crazy when I asked for a towel. I was sitting in the forward cockpit with #1son. 3 waves later I was wringing the towel out. But we were hungry for bugs and continued on. Oceanside / Bayside ... didn't matter. NoBones & NoBones#1Son worked hard & gathered up the few bugs we did get ... THANKS TO THE NOBONES FAMILY! Bushwacker with GFS & Brian on his 20 Seafari ... they stayed dry. Brian was really impressed with the ride of the SeaCrafts ... and may soon become an addict too! Back on dry land Friday night, had a few more friends stop by and more good times. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ini-Group2.jpg #1Son chatting with #1 Lady http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ini-Group4.jpg Blue Heron listening to one of Dad's many stories http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ini-Group3.jpg And CSC's master Chef, Mr. GFS !!! (Sandy) BBQing the Lobsters to perfection. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...terCooking.jpg Well, my freezer didn't get filled, but we had a wonderful feast and a wonderful time. Thank you all. Skippertee & Carla |
Re: Key Largo Friday Night Mini Season
I'm so envious! It looks like y'all had a great time. Hardly a day goes by without my wishing I could come to one of your gatherings and meet your mom and dad. Maybe one day I'll be able to make it happen. Til then, keep posting pics!
BTW, how's the raceboat coming along? |
