Fred - how did you like that rig compared to the 20' Seafari? Denny

fdheld34 11-24-2011 06:54 PM

Thanks so much Gillie...Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

Denny...I do love the Grady White....compared to the Seafari.....It is a newer boat of course...so more comfortable for my wife...ride is good especially with family...
I do still love the Seafari..but looking for bigger boat now..I now own an Excursion 7.3 so able to pull basically anything now!!!
Trying to get back into a 23' Sceptre that I can actually go out on!!!!...like the v drive for sale on this site!!!
I was thining of a 23' Walkaround Seacraft as well. I just love to be able to walk to the bow.

Oh Denny..one more thing..I almost jumped on a 21' Sailfish Walkaround..but so darned pricey!!!! Sailfish reminds me of a Seacraft hull in a way..of course no comparison though...but same sexy lines...

The 21' Sailfish is a direct pop off the 23' Seacraft, cut back by 24 inches.

fdheld34 12-01-2011 07:47 PM

Fr.
I did not know that!!! It would be neat to know how many other boats were popped from a Seacraft mold???
That is why I must have been attracted to it!!! Seacraft lines/hull, easy to handle package and access to the bow.. ....the 21' Salfish WA was a little outta my price range... more than I make in a year(not hard to do!!)...guess working for Gov. has its drawbacks...

Welcome home Fred.

Now go clean your room and get ready for dinner.

How would you compare the different rides?

Cheers,
GFS

Hey Sandy...GPS still going strong..had it on 5 boats now!!...always sell without electronics...I cleaned my room now have to work on the yard..YES SIR!!!

Sailfish was a great riding boat...was for sale down in Boca....took it out on Intra. was a slight chop..similar to the Seafari!!!!

Grady was good for family..decent ride as well...no swoosh sound when coming down though....I miss the swoosh sound...just addicted to being able to walk to the front now.

hope all is well with you down in PBC.

For someone who isn`t allowed to drag hulls home, you certainly have the skills of a Ninja.

Skipper,Bowrider, and The Beautiful Mind had a chance to speak with the owner of Sailfish at the Mia. show a few years back. He said it was changed somewhat from the 23. How, I don`t know.
As the good Father said, it may be a dead on pop. I have not seen them side by side.

How many SC knock offs are there? Most every monohull has either Moesly or Hunt/Wynn/Howland et al in there somewhere. Or a hybrid like Ocean Master. I`ve been fascinated by hull design since childhood. I would be perfectly content sleeping under a 21 forever. Or that other race boat.......

Chuck`s boat has the swoosh in spades.

Swoosh,
GFS
