Inboard Fuel Tanks?

anyone have the dimensions or a diagram of the fuel tanks for an inboard 23?

heynow2203 01-24-2012 04:01 PM

What happened to the old ones in your boat I thought it was a complete boat?

They are not the original tanks at some point they were replaced. I would of left them in place but on further inspection found a few pin holes and I'm sure there are several more.

I believe there's a guy selling a tank from a 23 he's restoring around here in Mass. I'll see if I can find the link, maybe he can help you out???

Thanks for the help GMac but that seems to be the tank off of an outboard model the inboard tanks are two 55gallon tanks i believe.

If so, I can get you some measurements in the next day or two.

Nope, Don. That's what my tanks looked like when I first pulled them from the 25. I've refurbished them and coated them with epoxy, and hope to get them back in this weekend.

jesusv,
Looks like you've got it covered. Good luck with the restoration.

inboard fuel tank

Here is the sketch I used for my tanks- they came out perfect for my 1976 inboard.
Hope this helps and if you need more detail feel free to pm me. Best of luck.

Thanks aldo i really appreciate your help. Ill let you know how it turns out.

Good luck- You may want to have your builder add some tabs to bolt the tanks to the stringers. The originals were foamed in. current practice is that is no longer the best as it can wick moisture.
