Did that used to be a sailboat hull?

McGillicuddy 03-07-2012 06:19 PM

Nice! Looks like a Holder Vagabond 14. 10 pots you say? Cool! I can't wait to see a picture if the bigshrimp ready for for action.

I like the side seating... throw a little teak on her and re sell it for a profit like everything else you touch :) Is that the new ride out to your mooring?

Gillie - ha . . . you are exactly right!! Got it in fairhaven right down the way from Entourage. There are a few holes that need to be patched as a tree ha fallen on the hull (I had motor and trailer already) pretty excited about having a lil skiff for onset as the 23 will be in chatham for the season.

Tim-

I had a brand new yellow Holder/Vagabond 14 as a kid. I would sail around the bay in Long Island with it. Once my dad added a 2hp Evinrude kicker...the mast and sails would stay home and I would drive around with the kicker like I was the king of siam.

Good luck with it.

It looks like it started out life as a "rag" boat and not a "stink pot!"

Hey, Big, does it have a 3 inch hole in the deck and a centerboard trunk? The stern view with the outboard doesn't allow a look at the center of seating.
