Thanks for the complements! Yes, I had the stainless plate on the transom made. I have a friend with a CNC water jet. He did a great job on it. Even polished it up nice and shiny for me. Its definately one of my favorite little add ons.

that transom bolt bracket is different from the bps one. the bps ones said seacraft on one side and mako on the other. i asked about a year ago and they didnt have any to sell. this one is nicer i think. nice job on the resto. very clean.

tight work, boat looks really good, you might need to try a 17p prop to get those max rpms a little higher.

Nice looking rig. I like your choice of colors. I've always liked the white bottom and color on the sides separated by a boot stripe.

The glove box on the console doesn't open all the way now. I cut four inches out of the width of the console which tightened everything up there. Its kinda a pain but it works ok. Just have to feel around for your stuff. My plans for the in-floor live well are: 1) have a two pump set up, one pumping in and one pumping out with a float switch in the top of the well. 2) have one pump flooding the well. Place a large, maybe 1-1/2 inch screened thru hull fitting at the very top of the well. This would gravity feed the overflow into a small maybe 1 gallon sealed box in the bilge. This box would contain a float switch and pump out. Not really sure if this would work or not or how the constant on/off action of the pump would affect the pump life and battery life. Still thinking about a good solution. |

The boat is gorgeous and it hauls a55!!! Just ask him how many times he painted it to get it the way he wanted LOL. The gel coat he did on the bottom is flawless as well. Check out the reflection in the gel coat in the pic I attached. It is definitely inspiring to see it finished after all these years (7?)
I am not so sure you need to go down in pitch on the prop. I know that if I was not holding on when he punched it, I would have gotten tossed out of the boat. The hole shot sure seems very good if it really is a 21 pitch prop. If you wanted to find out, I am sure Toup's Propeller shop in Abbeville could tell you in a few minutes. I just want to see this beast of a trolling motor you got for the Seacraft. I don't think I have ever seen one yet with a trolling motor. I didn't dream it did I? Thanks for the boat ride! It inspires me to get back to work on mine. |
