Random SC parts and motor

I am throwing up my 225 Evinrude for sale. Runs fine at idle, but has a skip up above 4000rpm, I think its ignition related, carbs have been cleaned again recently.

Video of it running last fall and not skipping, but before the lower unit extension

Misc Seacraft parts I found in the barn:
Fold down board for outboard motor well
Teak rod holders, some are a little beat up. I used them for templates for the starboard ones.
Marnium bow cleats
Marnium Factory SC rod holders

Any of the money I make from these items I would like to donate to the CSC board. ALL of these items are BEST OFFER

Are the rod holders off a 23? What are you thinking price wise?

Grisk 03-20-2012 05:39 PM

Are the Marinium cleats 7"? If so I've got dibs. Let me know.

Wildman 03-20-2012 08:44 PM

Motor price is down to $1000, I don't feel like fixing the ignition skip!
Help me by making this thing go away!

Are you runnin` Champions or NGK`s?

Is that a teak binnie? Yum. I will like that. Adding more teak than I should....forever.

Cheers,
Do you have any needs from my boathouse in the "spare" bedroom.

How about it Wildman??

Wildman 03-22-2012 09:47 AM

Reel you mean the alum rod holders and NOT the teak ones right?
Ive had a bunch of PM's on this stuff trying to keep it all straight!

Right now there is Champions in the motor, it ran fine with them previously now it has developed a skip once the motor warms up.

Wild - I could be interested in the Bay mfg 5" LU extension if you end up selling the motor to someone wanting a 25". I'll be needing two of them in a little while anyway...

Wildman 03-24-2012 07:33 AM

Sold the motor yesterday! With the extension kit, sorry man. If I was going to do it again, I would by 30in lowers instead of the extension kit. They are a little hokey to be honest with you.

kitebuz 03-25-2012 12:04 AM

No sweat & congrats on selling. Looking forward to seeing what you end up hanging now. I'm looking at going from 20" to 25" - problem is you need to swap out the mid-sections if you don't want to use the 5" extension. The lowers units, apart from the drive & shift shaft are the same. I've though about swapping mid-sections, but not really feeling like pulling the power head etc.
