1979 Sceptre for sale
3 Attachment(s)
Hi all, Would consider selling this whole package. I have a Hiliner 222 that simply won't sell and the boats are adding up! Nothing's changed from these photos but I have put a very nice Loadrite trailer under her. The boat was restored in 2003 and still has a 60 gal diesel tank in great shape under the deck. Hull is very, very nice and transom is hard as a rock. I was going to add a bracket and outboard but you could put in a gas/diesel I/O and go! $5900 pretty firm. (508)896-8422. On Cape Cod. Thanks, Steve

Sent email, would like to look at the boat and see if any of the parts would work for mine
Where is the boat and when can it be looked at? Regards, JW |
The boat's in Brewster, Ma on the Cape. Give me a buzz (508)896-8422 or on the cell (508)240-4649. Thanks, Steve

Back in town and ready to show parts for sale...give a buzz or pm, Steve

Sceptre aluminum top
Sending it back up. Still have the parts for sale and looking to sell the hardtop. It's in excellent condition. Thanks, Steve
Ill take the seats and fames???...oops they are not for sale...plus shipping would kill me?
-Fred |
Seats and frames are for sale!...but shipping would be tough :)
Do you mind me asking, are you restoring or do you plan to sell the hull too? Thanks
I plan on doing a restoration. However, I may be interested in selling the whole package if the price was right. Let me know what you're thinking. Thanks, Steve
How much are you looking to get for the hardtop. Oh, and any idea how to get it down to FL?
I'm looking for $3500 for the hardtop....Not sure on getting it to fla. I know a lot of people tow boats south for the winter....maybe we could find someone who has room in the fall??
It's a great custom top for a Sceptre! |
FYI.... I'd also sell the whole package with the trailer for 6K even. Still has the 2003 60 gal diesel tank installed. Would be pretty simply to add an engine and drive or convert to gas I/O or bracket with outboard. It's in great shape and the hull is mint. Steve
Would very much like to sell the aluminum hardtop off the Sceptre.... Very nice condition and custom made for this hull. $3300. (508)896-8422

23 Sceptre for sale
Please take a look at page 1 and the first post for this add. Updated it today to note that the entire package is for sale. Just not sure how to change the original title. Thanks all, Steve
Guys do not forget Frank Mole Transport, he runs NY/MA to Fla all the time and sometimes empty. He can throw seats and maybe tops on somewhere, find him anytime on Scream and Fly, not like setting up a commercial ship for an item.
I'd be willing to assist with shipping in the New England area if someone is interested in the entire package. Still willing to split the top from the boat.

Aluminum Top for sale
Still very much interested in selling the aluminum top before the winter. If anyone's interested please let me know. It's an awesome fit on the Scpetre and is solid and rugged.
Thanks, Steve |
i got some interest in the top and that folding swim platform.
Sounds good....Give me a buzz when you get a chance (508)896-8422. Thanks, Steve
Do you still have the windshield??
Yes, the windshield is still available as well. It is also custom made but is not hinged in the middle as, I believe, the originals were. I've lowered the aluminum top to $2600 B/O as well. All the parts are still available: engine box, seats, alum top, swim platform, windshield. Definitely looking for offers.....Located on Cape Cod.
i have a 74 sceptre do you know if your windshield would fit? what is the frame made of?
how is it fastened down? Ken in CT |
Windshield frame is powdercoated and anchored with screws/bolts...the side panels are plexi but the forward pieces are tempered glass. It looks like it slides apart in two places for three pieces total.
Do you have some better photos of the cover for the cabin hatchway? I'm looking for a good solution for that.
The Windshield should fit a 74 Sceptre perfectly...However, this windshield is a custom job and a bit shorter than the original. Same mounting position.
Jongolds, PM me your email and I'll send you close up pics, Steve |
Would love to move these items and shrinkwrap before winter on Cape Cod. Very interested in selling the aluminum top...Bring offers!!
Still for sale and would ideally like to sell the whole package. Beautiful boat...minimal work to get it up and running. Located on Cape Cod.
post some better pics of the top. side profile. front view.... ect

looks like it follows the angle of your windshield pretty tight. is your windshield at the same angle as the original windshield?
Not sure about exact comparisons between stock windshields and this one. This one is definitely shorter and may not be quite as high. More streamlined and does seem to match the top nicely.
just not sure if it would hit the original windshield with the angle its on. did you have that top on the boat with the original windshield or only new one?
I purchased the boat like it is now. I believe a previous owner had the top and windshield made in 03 as a matched set. This windshield seems lower than the stock version but not that much lower. I think this top would clear a stock windshield by a wide margin. Let me know if you'd like measurements from the window base to the top of the hard top. That should answer the question. Thanks, Steve

Still available call ralph 609-412-1918
the whole package has been sold.
congrats Steve!
Thanks John...Now just need to sell the Hiliner to make room for the Reg 26 :)
Would you be interested in selling the drive train from the Hiliner by itself?
I took out the 5.0 merc and drive and sold that package last spring. It's now got an aluminum floatation bracket and yami 200 hpdi. Changed the boat. Sits 4 inches higher and maybe more plus gave me an extra 3 plus feet in the cockpit. Sorry for rambling...I'm assuming you were interested in the I/O.
Yes i was interested in the i/o. I got something under my hat. You all will see soon. Lol...
