Great Looking Rig!
Take it from an old Boatswain's mate. Put some shellac on the Wheel's Fancy Work, it will last longer ;) See ya out by the sandbar some day.......... |
wow, looks great.
I like those little seats, where did you get them? |
where'd the jump seats come from?
|
That's a beaut! Lotta nice touches on your boat.
|
I designed the jump seats & swing back rest for the live well, and aluminum work was done by a local guy in Stuart. I also designed the console, and Boat Builder cut up the original to get the final one.
|
I love the rear seats and live well setup, plan to do something similar on my SF one day. Enjoy it
|
Where did you get the door for the console and the live well?
|
Nice rig! Those stern seats look like they're a little higher and might be a little more comfortable than the OEM stern seats on many of the 20's!
Good choice on the motor - let us know how you like it! I'd highly recommend running nothing but XD-100 full synthetic oil in it and having dealer set the EMM for XD-100 only. Make sure the dealer runs the fuel system test on it where they check for pressure loss and air leaks between fuel tank and motor. This test is now standard procedure on a new installation at all the good dealers. I'm using about 100-150 gallons of gas/gal of oil on the XD-100 setting, so it's not worth cutting corners on the oil with that low usage rate. ARG Marine in Riviera Beach buys it in bulk and sells it for about $35/gal if you bring your own jug. Here's a great web site you might want to check out: http://www.etecownersgroup.com/ Some very knowledgeable techs on there can answer just about any question you can think of (as well as many that you'll never think of!) |
Nice rig! Mike does very good work. I like the rod holders what brand are they?
|
Quote:
Is that a cooler glassed in under the front seat? The port side recessed rod holders on the console, are they made by Taco? Are you planning on using them for fly rods? It looks like you went with a Pathfinder-esque rod holder design on the starboard side of the console. Are there three or four? Thanks, Paul |
Very nice custom job :) So if I understand the stern seats are custom made ?

Rod Holders & Seats
Yes, seats are custom made. Live well under "leaning post" custom made with starboard top that is stitched into double thick cushion. Same with insulated cooler in front of console.
Rod holders on port side of console are custom. The rest are Lee's and some are "Mate Series" which are a combo rod & drink holder. They are awesome (but expensive), so I only got 4. Thanks for the advice on the ETEC...so far it's great. |
The aft end of that boat sure looks familiar!
|
Thank you. :)
|
SCStu, Did the steering wheel come braded like that when you purchased it or did you have it done after ? Nice touch !
|
i had it done by the guy who does the wheels for Hell's Bay Boatworks. $200.
