Well,
You BS, you eat, you drink and share lies!!! Gillie our beloved west coast brother came to Area 442 while taking a break from a family wedding 75 miles up the road.. Today the Florida crew all converged here to give Gillie a warm cracker welcome... I will let pics tell the story!! Attachment 2330 Attachment 2331 Attachment 2332 Attachment 2335 Attachment 2336 Attachment 2337 Attachment 2338 Attachment 2339 Attachment 2340 This was a behind the scenes get together at Area 442 !!! Ken-It looks like a great time was had over there today! All those SeaCrafts and finatics together at area 442. Had to be a great place to be - If the group knew how to get there and was not blindfolded on the way. Extra pictures?

Great to meet Gillie, who seems to be the only person I have recently met, who majored in cryptology. Siri tells me I need to go to sleep. Not sure about her yet. |
I see how you are Gillie..... over there drinking beer and eating hamburgers while I'm stuck here grinding on fiberglass :)
Looks like a lot of fun had by all. Anyone wet a boat? strick |
Looks like you folks had. Good time!
What is the meaning of 442? |
"What is the meaning of 442?"
You don't want to know. :) |
Truly humbled by the invitation to place that only exists in the mind of the imaginer (no really, gps failed to lock in coordinates. Thanks to Ken and Patti and the SeaCraft family for making it possible to meet this fabled crew in living color. Truly a preasure and a plivelige to do so. As for Area 442, it's meaning only becomes clear when you've made the pilgrimage. Ken, Thanks to you and Patti for putting it together. It was good to see the regular crew from the mini season gathering and to put faces to a few more names. Julie and I both enjoyed the visit. And it was cool to see your 27 and the race boat. Man that thing looks even longer and skinnier than it does in the pictures. Dave |
Shadow always the hunter, working the crowd, got a sneaky sideways glance on that burger.
Looks like a great time had by all - even see that Eric guy is still alive |
Race boat? What race boat?
Dave, your pop was correct. |
It was a great time ... And special thanks to Ken and Patti for pulling it together ... AND to Gillie for giving them the excuse!
Gillie ... I guess you west coast guys aren't so bad after all! Anytime just come on back. GFS ... Quit drooling over that raceboat... It's too skinny for you........ See ya! |

I am inside myself with my 20. No trees are harmed. Now a 23 could slide right in with little damage. Sick deadrise on Racer X. Cheers, GFS |
Was great to see the gang again and especially to meet Gillie after all the e-mails we've exchanged about Seafari's and Moesly 21's! Shadow also enjoyed meeting all the SeaCrafters as well as chasing some lizards and mooching a few handouts! I think she missed seeing Danny's kids, as they're easy marks! I think Dixon has her pretty well figured out! Denny

CSC is that cool. Yum, GFS |
Ol' Fat Hound Dog was good but much more front, she's much more steath mode and dainty but a very effective hunter none the less.

If you look at the advertising for a 1966 Olds 442 (my very first car), for only that one year it stood for 400 cubic inches, 4 barrel carb, and dual exhaust. My 442 in fact came equipped from the factory with a Powerglide 2 spd automatic, which I changed to a M22 4-spd I took out of a Firebird.
The very next year, 1967, and from then until 1969, the advertising for the 1967 442 advertised it as 4 bbl, 4 spd, dual exhaust, although it retained the 400 ci "Rocket" big-block motor, (which it would keep through 1969). A frequent motor swap was to the 425 ci oversquare "tall deck", because of the very desirable forged steel crank and balancer, and availability of an Offenhauser 6-pack setup for that motor. The 442 kept the 400 ci motor until 1970, when the 442 came equipped with a 455 ci big-block, 4 bbl Holly double-pumper or big ThermoQuad, 4-speed tranny, and dual exhaust, except for the "W33" Hurst Edition 442 which came with a TH350 auto tranny with dual-gate shifter and factory F60-15 tires. The real 442 always had a motor whose first numeral was 4, a carburetor with 4 barrels, and dual exhaust. They did not always have 4 speed transmissions, even though most people thought otherwise. |
hey bro you should have used all the seacraft their for a background for the group shot o
