rolling gel coat?

Not to sure on roller but thin it out a little bit so it doesn't get rough also I might be mistaken but it might help to tip it with a brush will help with finish product

Short nap rollers. Some 3/16 or 1/4" nap. Try some foam ones but make sure they don't dissolve first. And don't roll too much. It needs time to self flatten before it kicks. Ask me how I know.

rethink this idea...

That is perhaps the best advice. Although at least transoms are easy to sand because they are flat -if you want a cosmetic finish.

Spray with 25% patch booster and a 3.0 tip. :D

Pelican,

Given choice when replacing a non skid deck would you roll gel coat or paint?

Curious if you added something to help the gel coat self flatten, patch aid, Duratec Hi Gloss, etc.? Doing my transom outside, floor and inside hull sides only so I'm curious how it worked out for you.

hugo 07-13-2012 10:07 AM

the problem is doing the outside transom is its not laying flat and i think if i add somthing to thin it it will defintly run if rolled on, im trying to get what i need to spray it for now, or im just going to have to keep rolling and sanding untill its thick enough.
