Finster
Sorry Fin,, hope you get her going soon,,,The past few get togethers were real nice, we made some great friends, wives had chit chat , guys talked boats,, great food and drink We even had other meetings at other waterfront spots that we did not post or advertise, I hate to say it but most guys that showed up were not members of this site..
I did Talk to Don Pipedreams he has been very busy this year and did not put his boat in Joe R. 20ft Classic SeaCraft Susie II |
Weather or knot
40% chance of rain, or you can look at it as 60% chance of no rain....
This event is on rain or shine, wind or calm, small craft of flat..etc use your own judgement......if thunder storms are around just hold off,,,just show up later, most of the deck bar is under roof,,,, Sea U there Joe R. 20ft Classic SeaCraft Susie II |
Great get together
Well we just got back from our Atlantic City gathering,,,all had a great time, met some new SeaCraft guys, along with old friends ,,,The weather was great ,shared some good drink and food, talked for hours, checked out each others boats,,,all in all had a great time,
Bruce & Jen (workinprogress) with their 20cc, as usual, they were there first, John and Don (new guys to our gathering) John ran his unreal looking newer 23 up from Ocean City by way of the ocean in a NE blow, but thats what SeaCrafts are known to run in, Don is also a known local fisher guy who owns a 29 Regulator Joe & his wife came back again this year from Brigantine, His 1972 total restore 23cc with a custom made pilot house is something to see Looks like a brand new custom rig Jim Vis made the long run from his slip (just across the basin from the gathering) LOL his 25 cc rigged up for his charter business he has been running out of the Atlantic City, I made the 15 min run from Absecon Creek with my good friend Ed in my 1970 Potter 20cc Last but not least...Dunk that saw my post on the Bass barn ,,, even though he is not a SeaCraft owner , he just wanted to join in...he ran his flats boat all the way from Stone Harbor by way of the ICW, thats a long way, but that boat flys Many other friends from the local boating / fishing community were there also adding to the great time... LOOKING FWD to our next get get together...... workinprogress (Bruce) may post some photos here soon ... Joe R. 20ft Classic SeaCraft Susie II |

Send me some Pics
Bruce and Jen Nice to meet you and that 20 is clean....
John and Don made the ride outfront, but, of course, no worse for wear. I still think Joe M is the queen of the fleet and Joe Jr. definatley has the classic heritage...with all the woodwork, Beautiful stuff. Glad me and my 25' could be a part of it! jvizthum@aol.com Thanks! Jim |
Nice to meet you to, good times, Great Rig.
|
Too bad I couldnt make it I was stuck in south florida with Isaac...I keep my 23' in Brigantine and I'm over there at Gilchrist's for breakfast every saturady and sunday. Looks like you guys had a good turn out with some beautiful seacrafts and great weather.
PS - Jim are you the guy with the awesome yellow 25' I see all the time in Absecon inlet? |

I see Jim alot fishing around the inlet...his boat is awesome, the yellow look great with that SeaCraft sheer line. I had a red 76' septre i/o I kept in Brigantine from 2000 to 2006 then I sold it and got out of boating. Got back into it last year with a great newer 23' SeaCraft thinking I would keep it forever and now I have to sell it b/c I've got to start a new practice. I'm gonna miss it, there's nothing like a SeaCraft! I was all set on going to the gathering last year and I think it was the weekend Irene hit us.
|
Yep that's me
You have the white 23...?
I've waved to you a few times.....never got your name though. You seemed to be out with the family most times. But if you ever fishing don't hesitate to call me(Vizability), I'm not one to hide secret spots, but with the big yellow banana I can't really hide anyway....thanks for the nice comments everybody. Have fun this weekend...will be on bay charter Sunday and possibly fireworks trips? Capt. Jim Vizthum Vizabilitycharters.com |
Thats me...were always going to Gilchrist's for breakfast across from where you keep your SeaCraft. I will see you around the bays this weekend and will def be in touch as long as I have my boat It's for sale now. I dont fish much in the summer mainly fall and spring, so I'll be in touch. Have a great labor day.
