The SeaCraft disease is hereditary!!

Well, the fact is true...
The SeaCraft disease can be passed on through the genes.. Lil' Kenny has been working on the 1983 Sceptre that Skip and Carla found 3 years ago in Palm Beach on CL. He was in the process of closing in the transom and trying to get ready for the water in his busy schedule.. Well lo and behold Friday afternoon he calls me and said, road trip dad!! Saturday morning here sits a ready to go 1987! Real clean, just needs a little TLC and the 250 EFI Merc sitting in the barn strapped on.. Nothing could make me happier that the SeaCraft tradition and addiction is being passed on.... So beware fellow comrades!! This can strike you too when you least expect it... Attachment 2967 Attachment 2968 Yes that is the all original ole' 76 Dodge Dart sitting proudly next to the Sceptre.. |
Nice!!

What the hay, Senyor No Bones? Did Dandy Dr. Denny leave a a 4 door dodge dart in your driveway?
Freakin KJ's Sceptre looks slick as snot -- but what the hell is that;or how the hell did that that other POS in the first pic get down your driveway? You're slippin, Mr. |
Thats a good year. It has the box seats. :)

Yeah, The boy just could not help himself..:D
Strick, The box seats are a plus! Scott, This one did not have the "Slacker Stickers" thank goodness! Don, the old Dodge Dart has been quietly sitting in my parents garage for the last 14 years. While up there visiting I asked my dad "Whata ya gonna do with the Dart" He said take-it!! Needless to say it came back to area 442. Have had a blast with the slant 6.. The A/C is so cold (after a recharge) you could hang meat in there.. Gillie & Sandy, That is a Pioneer.. POS!! Kenny brought that one in for detail job last week.. It truly is a piece of junk.. Right above the bow eye they drilled a 3/8 hole to drain the front locker.. That was from the factory. Here are a few more of Secptre and Dart!! Attachment 2969 Attachment 2970 Attachment 2971 |
It's nice to see the period correct fog lights on it
Anything been done to the big boat lately Tight lines Matt |
There is no doubt the Chrysler twin piston compressors of days gone by were the best A/C units ever! Thankfully they had a thermostat 'cause it would run you out of the car if it didn't!! My parents had a '66 Dodge Polara with the 383, was a bad ass car....went through three teenagers including me!! Thank Goodness the back seat can not talk!! :)

Do I see a hitch on that 225 Dodge?
Teak splash well door? |

Congrats to Lil' Kenny on the find, good looking boat.
If that is the original transom, it looks to me that the boat came from the factory to be rigged with twins, or a 30" single. Boats set up for a 25" single have an knotch in the center. BTW, we had a 1970 Dart when I was a kid. |
Did you tow that nice 23' Sceptre home with that Dodge Dart? LOL!! Must have a HEMI!!!

Dad used to pull a 24 ft toon boat with her.. Helper springs still on there. |

Bones, with that big black porn star of a motah pushing that transom to the point of no return, I think Kenny will be a very happy young man. Great buy. |

Ken-Congrats to Kenny! Great looking boat. Once again, your theory of how to raise kids right proves itself.....87 should be a tank with hardly any spider cracks in the gelcoat. The finished Sceptre will be a great useable project for him! |

If my experience and your history with that Ram pickup are any indication, I'd say that old Dart ought to last you at least another 20 years! Did Kenny ever get his bracket mounting height questions resolved? Denny |
That Dart is the nuts BTW, especially with the fog lights, chrome window visors and CB antenna. :D

Had to bone up on the Geometry today...;)
Got the Stainless Marine Bracket on today and hung the motah..... 3.5 inches from bottom of hull to anti-cavitation plate. Should be ready for seatrail by next weekend. If only I were 30 years old again. A big thanks to Hermco & Jerry at SM... Attachment 2981 |
Ken, are those the TH scuppers w/ the check valve?
|
That they are Gillie....
First thing I changed out for junior! ;) Bought a bunch of them from Rabud at the Dania Marine Flea Market for a $1.00 a piece 10 years ago!! They work!! |
