27cc value?
I have found a 27cc for sale. It doesn't look like I am going to be able to do anything with it. It seems like a pretty good deal on a very rare boat. I am not selling it and have nothing to do with it, just thought it should go to a Seacraft person. I don't want to upset or offend anyone from this website so if you want information on it email me while I wait to hear if it is ok to pot here.

Is this the one up near Ken, north of Titusville?
|
It is on the west coast north of Tampa
I am not sure of the exact town. So what is the deal with the one in Titusville? |
I'd like to hear or see more about the 27cc. I'm about 45 minutes south of Tampa and may be interested.
|
I would be very interested to know more. I might sell my 23, depending what happens with insurance claim, and I would LOVE to rebuild a 27'
Joel Never mind, I found it. :) |
I looked briefly but could not find any specs on this model, any idea?
|
Mocean Powersports in Key Largo also has a nice 27 for sale. Jack is the owner, hes a good guy, if you remember he sold Carls 27 Sea mistress for Carla last year.

We tried to talk Sandy into buying it . . . he was sort of foaming at the mouth and climbing all over it! GFS should have a bunch some pictures of it. A few were posted in this thread: http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ad.php?t=24235 Denny |
Hey Bushwacker, Im not so sure its on of those race boats :) its a 1986 hull.
Mainly Im wondering about the beam/displacement found this old listing for same boat (less enclosed transom) its 9/.5 beam and about 5,000 pounds (sounds a little optimistically light to me ;)) http://www.thesaltydog.com/uploads/1482134a.jpg |
Shine, that's the same basic hull as the 27' Seamaster. Much more beam than the race boats, less deadrise and heavily built to handle the cabin and flybridge, originally powered by a couple of I/O's. In the late 70's, Potter built a Savage-type "Master Angler" model on that same hull with a large cuddy and a leaning post with T-top. http://www.classicseacraft.com/MA27.htm It's listed as about 7000 lbs with an inboard and much more superstructure than a simple CC, so I'd say 5000 lbs would be about right for a stripped outboard CC version. CSC member Todds Lures has a partially restored 27' Master Angler he's been trying to sell for quite a while, set up for outboards on a bracket. Should be able to find posts on it under his name in the For Sale section. Seacraft Industries evidently built an open CC model on the same hull during the 80's like the one you show.
The ex-race boats I sent the link to are like the one up by Ken and are totally different animals. The boat up by Ken is laid out as a simple CC with a flat deck with a couple of fish boxes under the deck. Had a nice T-top, but looked like it had been used pretty hard. I think it could stand a lot of your TLC! Denny |
As far as I know Richard still has this for sale...
http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ight=race+boat I also know it is tabu for CL adds, but there is one heck of a deal on Tampa CL for a restored 26 SeaCraft race boat right now.... Also I think Todd's 27 is also still for sale on here as well!! They are out there for sure! |
It isn't one of the race boats. It is much wider. I assume the same as the express style that appear ever so often. It could be an awesome boat. I really wanted the one shine posted but I think it sold last year. I have never heard from the guy again. I didn't want to post the Craigslist add for respect of the this website. I guess others don't. I just wanted it to go to someone that would really appreciate it.
As far as the boat goes, I am qurious as to who built it. I have heard stories of some being built by marret bros (sp) . I have an 85 23" cc with the same hin identification SIC. It is sold and seams heavier then older 23 specs I have seen. Seller says it is between 10k and 12k on the trailer. So it is a big heavy b**ch! My suburban doesn't like my 23 so could only imagine pulling that! |
sorry guys, didnt know bout the craigs list rule. I deleted My previous post.
