Sea Craft Mfg
Are new Sea Crafts still being manufactured today? If yes, can someone provide the boat builder and location. Thanks.

Sea Craft Mfg
No, they are no longer being produced. Tracker actually took down all info on them from their website about a year ago- I called them and asked them about it and they told me they are done- will not be manufactured anymore. Pretty sad but I guess sales just did not make it worth their while.

Someone needs to by the molds and restart the brand. What a shame. I believe the 2009 26 foot MA and TE models were the last made.
|
Bummer! Thanks for the information.
|
Yeah, the 26 was the last newer model made. I loved the design of that too- flush deck from bow to stern with plenty of in deck storage. There is a 2009 26 for sale in Bradenton for $65k with twin Opti 200 or 250's (been there for over a year) . Only thing I did not like about that model (the 26 tournament that is) is the T-top- weird shape and extremely small with hardly any coverage- it's cut out design is to accomodate rod holders on side of console but did not like it.

That 26' in Bradenton just sold. It was my old boat :) Great design with the flush deck. T top was small but functional and rod holders in the sides were nice.

Im ready to relaunch the brand and put it back at the front of the pack. All I need is lots of money to start.

Blackfin26- small world! How come you got rid of that 26? It was like new- real low hours

Issues....Tracker stepped up and purchased the boat back from me. The new buyer tracked me down (my reg #'s on hull) and had it surveyed. Survey came back good so he bought it. Seems like a real nice guy. He's going to bring the boat up to the Cape and take me out for a trip! Small, small world for sure.

Helms are interesting boats for a smaller vdh, and Silverhawk for mid to larger cc's are another.

Just saw this.

Did you also see the add on the Miami CL for Saltfisher boats? The boat they advertise is the one in this mold add. They say they are factory direct and list it as a 26'. I emailed them. If they respond I'll post it here.

I remember coming across a small display outside the convention center at the Fort Lauderdale boat show about 10 years ago, and there was a green hull 26' cc that looked just like this. I can't say for certain, but Saltfisher does sound familiar. I chatted with the fellow at the display, and he told me they were building off an old Seacraft mold. Only building to orders, and would do some customizing for $$.
The boat was somewhat basic, which for my personal use is right up my alley. I was working the boat show for Hargrave, and one of the yacht owners was looking for a tender. I sent him over to see if they could custom build him what he wanted, but he came back not too impressed. In all fairness, he had been looking at Intrepids and Everglades. (He ended up hiring a captain who owned a 31 Oceanmaster, that ended up being their tender) I hope these guy do well, someone needs to carry on... BTW, where's Brian (3rd Day) and the idea to make a mold off the 21' he salvaged?? Lloyd |
Saltfisher is, or was built by carrera who is a go fast builder in Miami.
