probably going to need a 21 or 23 pitch. That's a lot of ponies on a 20. Hang on and have fun.

Your Seacraft Industries hull is a different boat than the Potter 20. It's longer and heavier and has a little hook in the bottom.

After trying many props on my '83 20sf/200 Merc, I landed on the 17 Mirage as the best fit. I don't think you'll be able to spin a 21 without lugging the motah. Start with a Mirage 17P or 19P. A 19 Laser will give you better top end, but you won't like the cruise.

Propgods recomended a quicksilver 151/2 x 17p.
I have to finnish eirei g the tach and alarm a d vot the prop on today. So i wanted to put the bost back on the lift where its safer then on my davits on land so i got to see how it floats. I was. O. Erned i had a 93 evinrude 150. Nada said 375 pounds. The new 2001 merc 200 xl. Nada says. 416 poinds. Ut the motor has a tag that says 406. Anyway the sculper were just above waterlevel like the rude. So im happy

Blue heron ive slways heard of boats imptoperly fit on a trailer getting a hook.
Is this hook in the hull you mention susposed to. E there or i think i dead of a bad mold. ?
Either way my boat rides great before still need to test the new power.

Never swing a 21 IMHO, I have a 19 Stilletto and its perfect at 5500 with a good hole shot. I have been bugging ken to get them since I found mine online, I think a 17 will be too small, my stilletto is a bear to swing and mine had a 19 on it when I bought it - it just sucked but correct rpm

I don't really know, but it wouldn't surprise me if they put the hook there intentionally to keep the bow down at speed. I know some manufacturers do that. Both my Action craft and Hewes hulls have a little hook in them just forward of the transom.

Eggsucker - What motor are you running and what gears do you have in the foot?

Mike - What gears are in your foot?

Mikem8560 05-11-2013 07:37 PM

no idea what ever stock is

They came with a few different ratios. Would be important to know when comparing one motor/prop combo to another. I don't know how to tell without dropping the foot and watching the driveshaft turn. Maybe it's stamped or indicated by the engine part number.
