The 20 Septre is a pretty rare hull and you did say you had thick skin.

It would be far easier and much cheaper to find an unloved Donzi and go that route.
It takes an advanced understanding of engineering and imagineering to pull off what you propose. Weights and balance, shear loads, tensile strength and on and on.

Very few pros much less amateurs have sucessfully reinvented the wheel.
If you are so inclined, take it one spoke at a time.

We don't know you. It's hard to tell what you're serious about and what you're joking about in your first post. How do you expect us to react? If you'll slow it down and let us get to know you through some reasonable posts, you'll find we're a pretty good group. And yes, most of us have a sense of humor. I can see it, why don't you just fab up a low profile windshield that follows the line of the back gunwale as it comes forward.

That would preserve the integrity of the classic hull and give you the "donzi" lines you are looking for.

Just changing the windshield a bit, maybe seating -- not like your gonna find a Sceptre 20 windshield on CL or the flea market... get a light-weight 200 hp 2.4 L Bridgeport and go surprise somebody with your new sleeper... sounds like a fun twist... oh, and get a life insurance policy. The teeth kill the deal in my opinion.

Remove the bowrail, and everything not needed, put in some pop up cleats and low profile Nav lights, a dead straight paint job and maybe some striping reminiscent of the late 60's muscle cars and/or Donzi sweet 16 that works with the seacraft lines and you got a classy, Gucci style boat(as Capt Chuck would say)

Leave the teeth and cutsey names and graphics for the Hull Truth crowd.
