What a circus that is! Saw this on another site... Does anyone know if that is a Potter built pontoon boat or an imitation?

Exactly! It's bumper boats . . . so many seacrafts out there.

rockdoc 07-19-2013 06:24 PM

Bigshrimpin- that shot of the bass in the fishbox reminded me of one of your posts from a year or two ago.

I wonder if cape cod has the highest concentration of 23' Potter Seacrafts per capita in the country...

It's 23 seacraft heaven for sure. I counted 27 different seacrafts in the fleet on Thursday within eye shot.

Apparently they still have it. Caroline and Jack Kennedy (Caroline's son) back in February. An older picture of JFK Jr in the boat. The last one is of of Jackie with Maurice Templeton going for a spin.

Notice the Mass. registration number.

In 1978, Jackie O. was going to upgrade to a 23' Sceptre but refused to take delivery when the boat came up from Florida with the wrong color upholestry (it was an awful, very bright yellow). We were in the market for a 23'; my father bought the boat they refused, had new upholestery shipped to replace the yellow and we still have the boat today.

Looks like someone restored it. Looks sharp.

Getting back to the fishing, what is the creel limit on them up there? We can only keep 2 per person here. ( 3 in the Albemarle Sound).

joshmon71 09-12-2013 06:07 PM

yeah that's recreational limits. pics were from commercial season where its 30 fish per day/boat tues-thur and 5/boat on sunday. short season about 11 days, maybe a couple more sundays tacked on but under 14 total days I recall.
