Just thought that I would post a few pictures of my 23 Sceptre currently residing in La Paz Mexico. It is powered by a 240 hp Yanmar diesel and is a perfect combination of performance and economy . A perfect boat for the Sea of Cortez!

Some of the best times I've ever had fishing was just South of La Paz in Los Barriles, East Cape, a great place for stripped marlin, sailfish, monster dolphin, etc. :) No doubt that SeaCraft is right at home there!!

Sorry I probably posted the picture in the wrong forum but here is another shot on the water. I seem to only be able to load one picture at a time using my ipad.

Actually it seems to be perfect for Baja . The helm is custom built and I can roll up or remove the curtains .when the wind picks up it is nice to be enclosed on 3 sides. Here is another pic

Very cool setup. I like the no window frame option for a clean look and good visibility. Is that a jackshaft setup?

yellowtail 12-08-2013 10:34 AM

No it is an original v - drive . Borg Warner trans and drive gear.

Awesome!

Wow!
What a sweet looking rig.She sits beautiful on her lines.I look at your rig and then at my Tsunami and they look like different boats.
Yours looks much bigger for some reason, maybe the absent windshield and glass is it.
She sure looks like she belongs where she is,what a beautiful boat.

SnafuFishTeam 12-11-2013 04:44 PM

Boat looks awesome without the windshield!

I like the color combination on your boat. Classy.

Maybe when you get a little older...;)

Nice Top!!

Is your top custom made or is it a brand? Can you post a picture of the top from the bow of the boat? We have a '77 23' Sceptre that we are in the process of redoing.

RUSTYNTABATHA 03-08-2014 01:10 AM

Bertram87 04-29-2014 07:09 PM

Sweet set up. More pics would be awesome! I've got an '84 sceptre that the windshield is getting really tired and in need of a major overhaul, and you have given me a bunch of ideas!
