There is always a fishing season somewhere!

No kidding. I was debating an Avet reel before the 1/1/2014 price increase. I didn't pull the trigger. I need to spool my current gear on a big enough fish before I buy a bigger reel. Or so I say.

Let's actually get together this year. Somewhere between Plum Island and Cuttyhunk? if I get the 25 running by then I will give joyrides. But only if you ignore the cosmetics.

I finally washed it last weekend. It looks a little better but when I decide to stop fishing it's getting painted brown.

Some fine fish on the fly there, Strick. Looks chilly up there, brrr. Are your mornings always that flat calm up there?

Bigshrimpin 01-12-2014 06:58 PM

nice bass strick! I'll bet those were fun on a fly rod. I'm hold you to it . . . think July/August/Sept.

Need to wash my boat too Doc. Just freekin` blowin` here. Maybe I need to learn to fish in the ditch. It`s just that the ocean is my church.

during the fall/winter we get a lot of nice days like that. If a storm front comes through then we get north wind for a day or so. I dont really want any bad weather but we need some storm fronts to come through or we are going to be in some real trouble!

Strick, Nice stripes on the fly for sure, I'm so jealous, I can go after some "hold over" schoolie stripers in the rivers in CT (in my whaler not the 23) but when it's 14 degrees I'm all set! Lol. Thanks for making me go insane!
