Wow. no one interested in a 25 seafari. I hate to do this, I have no place to store it, so going to the town landfill and crushed by the end of February.

fdheld34 01-31-2014 11:26 AM

If you were closer I would take it off your hands

I will take it before you do that. I am already getting a 25' but would not mind having a second one to turn into a cc or something.

Frizz, you got to take some of your Affordable Obamacare and see a doctor!!! Better yet a shrink. As one of the other guys said a week or so ago, "you got it bad"!!! :) :)

I didn't know Obamacare would cover "SeaCraft hoarding". I know my Blue Cross Blue Shield doesn't. Might need to make the switch! :D

This is killing me! Ive been watching this boat on CL for a couple of months now but have resisted so far and it's only about 80 miles from me. The worst of it is though I just sold my F250 and bought a Nissan Frontier so I can't even go get it :(:(:(

without an engine you are only looking at 3000 lbs for the hull - use the nissan and drive slow or rent a truck :D

otterhound 01-31-2014 03:36 PM

You're not helping:o

If Gofast could pull a 27 Raceboat with a Chevy S10 across Florida,
you should not have a problem either with no weight in the boat!

Mostly tongue weight of which you could move the boat back
to compensate...

If the plan is to take it to the land fill where Gerry is going to have to pay
them to take it, the price should be negotiable..

FYI:
Nissan Frontier
Towing capacity is 3,500 pounds for four-cylinder models, while rear-drive V6 models manage an impressive 6,500 pounds.

I'm trying to be sensible about this, don't know if it's going to work though:confused:

the seacraft trailer was sold and the seacraft is now at the town landfill. What a shame. I have had this boat listed for months and no takers. I wish someone would have stepped forward and found a good home for this hull. I will now begin working on my blackfin 25 twin outboard 1990s model. No more restoration projects for me.

NoBones 01-31-2014 07:47 PM

You posted this boat for sale on CSC on the 29th of this month!

So why in the world did you even bother?

Someone from this site that truly appreciates these boats would
have taken it off your hands.....

You are a complete JERK OFF !!!

You really should come to our gathering at Long Point. Should be one or two there for rides.

Cheers,
GFS

DonV 01-31-2014 07:53 PM

Yeah... a one way trip, kinda like a "three hour tour".

I woulda` towed it with Janet`s little Vulva, er Volvo. Ball hitch of course. With chains natch.

Capt Chuck 01-31-2014 08:29 PM

Ken

We could have made a nice 1 room motel @ Longpoint for those who have no home like "The Slacker" Complete with Sears Catalogs and a Head...... The City of Sebastian or the State would have funded the upkeep and the anchorage I'm sure...............

gofastsandman 01-31-2014 08:36 PM

I can fit my mini motel behind the LP. Slacker style.

otterhound 01-31-2014 08:41 PM

I had PM'ed this guy this afternoon and was waiting for a call back, in the meantime I lined up a hauler friend of mine to grab it. I can't believe he went this route .
As far as hauling it down the LIE with my Nissan Frontier, no thanks! Being in the boat business I've hauled hundreds boats all kinds of distances and I'm very familiar with the "tail waggin' the dog" syndrome. Anyway, very sad end for this boat :(.

GERRY 01-31-2014 08:42 PM

first of all Ken, U are an ASS. This boat has been for sale for over six months, you must live under a rock to have missed it. Are you familiar with craigs list. have a look. you can list boats for sale here! Many of CSC members were aware of my intentions to sell. Cdavis- flying frizzle, entourage to name a few.and parrot who was enroute to purchase this hull but never showed when he was supposed to after we hammered out a deal. I have answered countless emails, sent countless photos and answered countless questions. all for the big whopping $1300 asking price and nobody wanted her till now. To Bad.

Entourage 01-31-2014 08:42 PM

I can't believe it. If this boat was on here a little longer we would have definately found a home for it. I was going to leave tomorrow i had already sent him a pm. I won't be a able to sleep for a few days. R.I.P :(

There is a difference of trying to sell it on craigslist for 1300.00 and taking it to the landfill. Wouldn't you have rather given to someone who maybe had to travel 6 hrs to come and get it than to trash it? These just are not the boats you bring to a landfill they were built too well. Just sayin.

GERRY 01-31-2014 08:50 PM

otterhound-You stated that you watched my listing on craigs list for a while. Why did you wait till now??? everyone wanted it but know one wants to pay a whopping $1300. I even stated in my ads I would trade for fishing tackle? who does this and still no takers until today? oh well, it was fun watching my brother back up with his truck at about 40 mph and jamming on his brakes, launching that seacraft about 20 ft into a slide.

otterhound 01-31-2014 08:55 PM

No where in your CL ad did I read that you were this desperate to move it. How did the land fill fee vs the sale price of the trailer work out for ya? Great I'll bet:rolleyes:

GERRY 01-31-2014 08:56 PM

sure I would of loved for someone to get her, you did not want her when I asked if you did or knew of anyone, Remember? Its only now there is any interest because she was for free.

GERRY 01-31-2014 08:58 PM

landfill was FREE. tax dollars at work. god bless Obama.

otterhound 01-31-2014 09:03 PM

All I needed was a call back and we would have worked something out. I guess you got more joy out of destroying it!

Why do you still have it listed???

I have been trying to remember your original name on CSC when you got banned
the first time many years ago over a Seacraft that you had a dealing with.....

Give me time I will find it...

1990 twin outboards on a Blackfin ? and you are done with projects?
Cheap ass, why not buy something a little newer....

You didn't have to give it away for free, all you would have had to say was you were going to bring it to the landfill and just give us a little time to plan something out. Look at all the feedback you got from the post. Did i not just send you a pm and ask you what was your best price? I just bought a project im in no position to take on another but i really would went to get this even if i had to let it sit for years until i got to it.

FLexpat 01-31-2014 09:19 PM

It sure looks like someone spent a lot of time and energy trying to get the balls to tackle this project – then pussyed out and threw it away.

In Dec he posted here that was planning on refurbing it

Less than 48 hours ago he posted it here for sale – at least 2, if not more parties immediately interested in it…

Sent it to the landfill today and then posted that for some kind of gratification

Apparently the hull was a strong reminder to him of his shortcomings…

otterhound 01-31-2014 09:22 PM

Well said Flexpat

gofastsandman 01-31-2014 09:47 PM

Gerry-
Apparently you were POed by multiple SeaCraft members.....it's obvious you wanted payback.....this morning you posted that you will take the boat at the end of Feb, now tonight you decide it's been enough time to take it now...Next time Don't waste your time or ours.....

If you take the time to write a cogent, coherent, comprehensive add with lots of pics and honest description with full disclosure, you will answer few questions. Many here have done so with pleasure.

You sent me a pm before you bought her. I called you and kindly spoke with you at length
about my feelings as to ride, design, and construction. This is what we here do. Others did so as well. I sent you the link to the Long Point sea trial/ gathering with pics and descriptions/ opinions of our knowledgeable brethren.

Enjoy this months issue of Tiger Beat magazine,
GFS

seafari25 02-01-2014 01:19 PM

I also spoke with Gerry before he bought the boat. I admit, my biased opinion was probably not much help, as my reasons for loving our 25, may not be the same as others. However, I believe I stated the facts of the rarity and preciousness of the boat.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to make their own choices, but never in a million years did I think anyone would send one of these boats to a landfill.

This is just sick!

I hope someone is able to call the landfill and intercept this boat before something stupid happens....well it's too late for that

seafari25 02-01-2014 02:36 PM

Any boats taken to our landfill sites up here are put in a "free" pile for a period of time, and are available for anyone who wants them. I always look for SeaCrafts when I'm there, knowing I have little chance at finding one. I suppose they don't want to fill the dumps right away, if there is a chance someone will take the boats first.

I hope this is the same down there and someone will be able to rescue this boat
