Realy nice looking Savage, I like the layout.
How does it perform with the 225 ox66 on back?

Snookerd 03-26-2014 07:54 PM

Very nice pictures! That boat was good deal almost 2 yrs ago.

With four people + dive gear we cruise around 28mph at just under 4krpm and burn around 12-13 gph. Haven't really had a chance to open it up and go for max speed. Plus the ox66 is supposed to be a very reliable engine. The ride of course is unbelievable. I think the bracket helps along with being able to store some extra weight (tanks, cooler, etc) up forward in the cabin.

Here is my attempt at a video. It was a really nice day for some snorkeling.

I hope you all enjoy it and that youtube doesn't take it down!:rolleyes:

BTW I saw a gorgeous Sceptre in Boot Key Harbor the other day. Light blue with a black top. Wonder if the owner is on here...

DonV 06-23-2014 05:42 PM

The best part was when you went by Burdines Grill on the way back to Boot Key, they have the best hamburger and fries in Marathon. Period.

Nice video, I was down there with the 'ol clunker SeaCraft June 7th through the 14th and the weather was just like your video, perfect!!!

dave3fl 06-24-2014 11:41 AM

Vid looks great! we need to come down there soon.

DonV 06-24-2014 12:00 PM

YES you do Dave!!! Your Seavette would look stunning at the "sandbar" in Islamorada!!! You would have one problem though, the challenge of keeping scantily dressed to less than scantily dressed girls off your boat will be daunting!!! :) Tough job, but someone has to do it!!!
