Spring Updating to the 23...Finally

Hey all, been a long winter here in CT, finally making head way we replaced the fuel tank with a 105 gallon from Sunshine who was amazing to work with BTW! Pulling the tank was an absolute nightmare but the install went rather smooth. That being said we obviously needed to pull the T-Top and console which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be on either end.
After we ran the new hoses for the tank and hooked up the sending unit and ground, etc we started doing some add ons that we have been wanting to do for a while.
I always loved the SS Seacraft logos on Mosely's site so I grabbed a Taco Electronics box And we added that to the face. I think it looks very classy and refined, your thoughts?
Yet another shameless copy on my behalf of BA17's 23!! :)

After we added the ebox with the emblem I got a new Weblon canvas from nautical needles in Westbrook in Black which I love (if you couldn't tell).

The other upgrade we did was new cushions for the front of the console and leaning post/live well combo (which is also new) to match the color scheme of the hull we will have those by the end of the week just waiting on the back rest.
The console is off a 2660 Sailfish I wanted that logo cushion off! No offense Sailfish. Lol
Finally to finish it off, on the back end we have custom decals for the Merc 250 in Grey/black to round it off in route.

What you guys think?

Sully,

Is that box roto molded plastic? If so please send me a picture of the face. I have one from Moeller that looks identical from what I can see. Problem is Moeller no longer makes them and I lost the door somewhere between Wilson North Carolina and Savannah. So if Taco makes it now they may have it and I may be able to save time by not having to custom make it.

Thanks,
Mick

Sullivan21 04-30-2014 08:33 AM

Hey the thanks y'all is my standard reply didn't mean anything more in any sense lol. Though I do envy my southern SC owners!
Bri YES finally got it all plumbed and pumped thanks to u!! I totally forgot to really get Into the livewell deal. But yes we installed a new leaning post livewell with 40 gallons will update with pics when I add the cushions.

As far as the ebox I think it is molded i read tacos spec sheet. I bought it off CL the guy never used it, I really like all Taco products.
Taco doesn't make this either anymore! That's so odd.

Sullivan21 04-30-2014 09:49 AM

That is one beauitiful 23, but man you need to update your Bottom Machine from that old brick Kelvin Hughes HE 21! I took mine off when it got hard to find that 12" paper. I still miss the burnt paper smell though.

Sullivan21 05-18-2014 05:16 PM

My Lowarnce unit? Lol idk what mean sorry, that's actually new last year elite 7 HDS which I love...didn't have the money huge electronics setup.

Terry England 05-18-2014 08:10 PM

Photo bombed by your neighbor's chimney

I swear, it looks like you have one of the first Spanish American War era brick bottom machines on your dash. Your brain "fixes" the picture for you, but I'm like "What the Heck is that?" - It's even older than the kelvin Hughes 8" straight line, white line I started out with. It was slightly smaller than an Amana Radar-range, if you remember what they are. They came right after 8 tracks! Gillie and Sandy know all about 'em.

HDS-7's are perfect. I'm still trying to wear out my 525. It's hooked to one of those 20 degree tilted Airmar through hulls. I can see the dental records on the hogfish at Bayport.

Sullivan21 05-18-2014 08:12 PM

Hahahaha now I see what you are saying my bad!! Lol
