I just need prayers.

To all, I have spent the last year restoring my 79 Sceptre. Not was it just for me but my 3 children. Radar, subs, and on and on. My oldest (13 year old girl) was so pumped up. I found out 3 weeks ago she has a brain tumor. This has been a life changing event for the family. I really don't know what else to say but I ask for your prayers as we go thru this. I'm taking her and some friends out tomorrow to " turn up"! I know I am the new guy but I see a lot of good people on here as far as words and actions. Thank you so much. The more prayers the better!

My prayers go out to your daughter, you, and your family.
I have two girls also and one was in a bad situation years ago and I know how hard it is. She is fine today and I try to always appreciate her living, her good qualities, and not fret over the little stuff.
You realize how important family is.

flyingfrizzle 05-10-2014 11:11 AM

I will keep her in our prayers and put her on our prayer list at church, may God bless her little soul.

Jeff,
My prayers go out to your daughter and to you and your family.May god bless you all.The power of prayers can do amazing things.and we will send many of them out to you in this difficult time.

BigLew 05-10-2014 04:41 PM

This time brings to mind something my mother would constantly remind us of.

She would say, "If soap and water can wash it off, or money can replace it; its not important!" True then, true today.

God bless the pray-ers and the pray-ees!

Jeff,
Sent messages this morning for a good prognosis and speedy recovery for you daughter (and for Fellow California Moesly runner, Gillie - he's had something going on too).
If you got a busy signal about 8:30, it was me.

McGillicuddy 05-11-2014 04:07 PM

Jeff, just another SeaCraft brother, sending a prayer out for your daughter and the rest of your family. These curve-balls are unimaginable, and even more so of all when they involve one's children. Best wishes for a quick and favorable diagnosis and a speedy recovery. We'll keep you guys in our prayers.

Man is it good to hear from you, Bro'. You had me bit'in my fingernails for ya' and I eased into church this morn'in too, but I looked at the structural carefully first.

Hey Jeff,

Besides a bunch of prayers offered up for your daughter, I also sent you a PM with some thoughts and ideas I've had as a cancer survivor myself. Although it's probably tougher on you with your daughter having the disease than if it were yourself, kids are surprisingly resilient and can probably fight this stuff better than us old folks! Hang in there buddy and know that the CSC community is remembering you in their thoughts and prayers. Denny

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care this child. Relieve her of all weakness and pain, both of body and mind, guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise her up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for your dear Name’s sake. Amen.

Thank you all!!

My daughter is starting radiation today at the Hollings Cancer Center. She has 6 weeks of it Monday thru Friday. She lost hearing in her left ear after the biopsy and her vision is blurry at a distance. Overall she is in great spirits and is ready for a great summer. I can't say enough for the outreach of the fine people here and it really just touches my heart to know that the world isn't totally lost yet. I'll keep everyone posted. Thank you!

nestorpr 05-12-2014 02:12 PM

My most heartfelt best wishes for her and your family.

kmoose 05-12-2014 03:28 PM

Jeff, I can only imagine your anguish but rest with peace that Jesus is walking every step with you and your daughter. There is nothing impossible nor unbearable when you trust him with all. Prayers, best wishes and comfort for you and your family.

Water Rat 05-12-2014 04:16 PM

I am not as eloquent as our fellow CSC members, but firmly believe in the power of prayers.
Please know that our family has your daughter and her family in ours since hearing of this.

Snookerd 05-12-2014 06:01 PM

Jeff –
We are praying for your daughter's healing. I'm also a cancer survivor when I was three years old. Kids are resilient!
