It took 3 yrs and 8 days to see water again. When I bought it had transom rotten. Re did it in coosa along with all other wood in the boat. This website was tremendous in the restoration. Wanted to thank you for all the info you guys post here.here is a before picture

Yea that one was really nice, I ended up selling it to a family member and regret it so much. But I got another one now. But it needs a lot of work will be going down the re-build road in a year hopefully. But congrats on yours lovin it. You did the work yourself ?

Peanut 07-16-2014 11:26 AM

Yes, I did all work myself and help from one very dedicated friend and about 6 good friends helped when they could. Stricks post of his boats were huge to me. There were days I felt like quitting and I would look at his work and finished projects and be re motivated

It might be something I will do myself as well. But i want to postpone it for as log as I can. Good work though would love to check it out in person one day. Maybe we can meet up out on the water this summer

Peanut 07-16-2014 11:37 AM

That would be great. If you have questions pm me

That is a very nice restoration! I totally get "fiberglass fatigue". Great job pulling thru!

X2 on this question...

Also did you remove the top cap from the hull or did u just work it still together ?

Peanut 07-17-2014 05:44 PM

I got only the hatch from a guy in Miami who restored seacrafts, unfortunately he passed away about 8 months ago and I was never able to ask him what this hatch came off of. It is a perfect fit. The rest of it I fabricated out of coosa and fiberglass. Thanks for all the nice comments. The boat turned out well because of this website and all of its members. I split the boat both sides between rub rail and inner wall and removed all plywood and replaced with coosa and fiberglass end all back together. Did not remove inner liner or cap completely. Adding the stripes back in floor as original was too much work and would not do it again

looks awesome love that anchor locker, I wish I could do glass work like that.
I like the red lights also I installed a white only under my t top cause its all the was available at the time but its bright on the eyes in the dark

Looks great!!

Did you raise the deck at all? I'm at that point I'm my 20SF build and will raise the transom 5" but don't really want to raise the deck.

Going with 150hp power too.

Nice boat.
