I'm not on this forum much, but I rediscovered it following a thread on another forum. I realized some of you guys on here may not have seen the little video I made of my 18SF. So here it is:

Very Nicely done!! Lot's of talents at work making that vid. Thank you!

Islandtrader 07-17-2014 09:41 AM

Very cool...nice job. The ending was a little scary, I would hate to drop that drone in the water.

I like the 18...I might have to put one of those on my radar....

YeA 20sF 07-17-2014 09:45 AM

Boat is just as nice as your video.

dave s 07-17-2014 10:51 AM

Beautiful 18!
Hope mine will look as good.
Your lady makes the boat look big!

These boats look there best without any type of rails.

BigLew 07-17-2014 12:51 PM

Is that a 'vette' or a lotus in your garage?

it's a C5 corvette Z06. i've had a few different cars. still have a couple of porsches and that vette. i think i'm more excited by my boats at the moment. so the garage is pretty empty.

Joey....Joey, just to let you know when you see the "banned for life" window when you log on CSC.com it's due strictly to jealousy!! ;)

BigLew 07-17-2014 04:37 PM

I see you are an art aficionado! Have you ever thought of getting one in YELLOW?!

Like I've said before, "Envy is a sin and I am a SINNER!"

PS. What do you do for a living, rob banks? .....just kidding!

daydreamer 07-18-2014 07:23 AM

joey are those drones hard to use? i think they are so neat. they open up a whole other spectrum! are they exspencive? what is the avg cost of a set up like that? thanks

no, they are really easy to use (compared to the RC copters and planes of a few years ago). if you ever panic and dont know what to do you can just take your hands off the sticks and the quadcopter will just hover in one place all by itself.

sometimes they may act a little screwy and there are not too rare reports of them just flying away. so of course there will be risk. one in particular is when the battery dies. if the battery is dying, the copter automatically returns to where it took off and lands. thats great over land, but not so much if youre on a moving boat.

i waited til prices dropped. mine is a dji phantom 1 with a gopro. so the phantom is $400 and a gopro can be as cheap as $200 or up to $400. mine also has a camera stabilization gimbal. this is an additional piece that really makes the video much much smoother. they can be expensive, but i bought a cheap chinese one for $80 that works well.

The 18 SeaCraft is sweet, But got to say your 25' contender or your Yellowfin are nice too... I have always believed in the 3 boat theory and you seem to have a nice spread

Beaver 07-26-2014 12:50 AM

I love how clean the deck is. All the pop ups and no rails looks great. Also the shine on that paint almost blinded me. Is that original buffed out?

Looking good, really miss it.

McGillicuddy 07-05-2016 10:15 PM

Glad you re-posted, Joey. Excellent 18. Presumably Capt. Chuck coughed up a Gucci award somewhere along the way.

Hope she's still runnin' like a champ. And yer pilot, too.

Nice work with the drone. Keep that thing outta my back yard:D

P.S., your garage bothers me:cool:
