as much as I hate to I am gonna have to pass My 25 Seafari on to the next proud Seacraft nut who will continue her refit, shes a 73 model that was refitting back in 1990 with twin brackets and twin 150 mercs, I purchased the boat in Key Largo about 3 years ago and transported her to North Ga and started the process of re-doing her, heres a list of what Ive done so far :
old fuel tanks removed
all bulkhead walls removed along with the tank compartment floor
new bulkhead walls built and glassed in with 1 added forward under cabin floor,
new tank compartment floor glassed in and bilge gelcoated
2 new 52gal fuel tanks custom built and installed with all new hoses , water separators and fuel lines, and sending units
seastar steering helm rebuilt and new hoses installed from transom to engines
4 new group 27 batteries added with all new wireing, and perko switches
all new:
push-pull switches, 12v outlets, cockpit and stern light, stereo and speakers, bimini top, perko cabin door latch assy, cabin dome light, stern light, twin 1250 gph bilge pumps w/new float switches and hoses,

.
in the works:
I have a floor hatch that I got from a carver that I put in the aft floor and have been working on flaring it in,
I have new pleated vinyl to recover the coming pads just haven't got to it yet
Ive wet sanded and buffed the hull sides and they came out pretty good, I started sanding the forward top deck for paint , most of the prep work is done just needs painting
engines tuned up and carbs cleaned out, new impellers , new trim selonoids,
engines run great but both grind a little going into reverse and the starboard trim motor just went out , I will supply a new one if needed
floor in cockpit solid , step down floor a little soft
comes on a Slip on aluminum trailer {No breaks}

bilgerat 09-29-2014 10:00 PM

never got her to the ocean but she handels the weekends on lake lanier here in n ga just fine and Lanier gets pretty rough !!!!

bilgerat 10-02-2014 12:03 AM

got a set of out riggers and a downrigger that go with her

FishStretcher 10-02-2014 11:28 PM

That's a deal! Someone should snap that right up.

bilgerat 10-03-2014 12:24 AM

Im askin exactly what I have invested in her dollar wise, not a dime for all the hours
ive spent, nor the grand I spent on the trip to the keys to get her.
few things I forgot to mention,
has new underwater lights
rebuilt SS props,
and a older vhf radio that works with a new 8' antenna

Mikem8560 10-05-2014 09:12 AM

A little surprised you haven't seen any action yet. Have patience. I'll put out the word among my fishing/diving friends.

Good luck!

Is this Gary's old boat sure looks like it with those old mercs I tried to buy the boat for years when he finally was ready to let it go I had already got a 2nd 23 but I am without a seacraft now and missing them might be interested in the boat but have to think on it for a while ok what is bottom dollar sure would like to bring it home to key largo..........

bilgerat 10-27-2014 09:35 AM

Yes, I do believe it was Gary's from key largo that I bought it from, and as far as bottom dollar , make Me an offer. Im not hurting to sell now as I was when I posted her, I have since sold My Monterey bow rider and settle the little monetary problem I was having. Im headed to Canada for a few weeks for a hunting trip so I wont be able to respond to any one till mid November.
Peace Out:)

bilgerat 11-20-2014 09:35 AM

Are the seat covers original. If not, where did you get them?

originals

cdavisdb 12-29-2014 07:41 PM

I have the same, but in much worse shape. I'd love to get another set, but don't know where. If whoever you sell the boat too wants to get new seats, I'd be happy to buy his old covers.

Connor- I know $$ is always a factor...but I would think any good upholstery shop could make new seat covers look like factory original.

cdavisdb 12-31-2014 03:55 PM

Custom made is probably my only option, but I'm patient.

Bushwacker 12-31-2014 06:06 PM

Connor,

If you have the original fiberglass seats, I still have my old original seatback covers, although they're pretty ratty - one is torn and the piping is ripped on the other. I had new 4" thick lower cushions made up for the original seats and just use a thicker throwable cushion for the back. However a good shop might still be able to use the old covers for patterns. I can bring 'em up to Long Point if you plan to be there. Denny

bilgerat 01-04-2015 08:13 PM

just buy the whole boat and you'll have some good seat covers :)

bilgerat 01-22-2015 11:05 AM

Reduced!!!!!!

Ok, Ive got an opportunity to pay My house off at a drastically reduced price due to the fact that the original owner who financed me years ago is getting up there in age and dosent want me to have to deal with his estate if he passes. 8k
this is your chance to grab up a really rare 25 Seafari for great price, this is a LOT LESS than Ive invested . I am willing to put 4 new tires on the trailer at this price so it can be towed any where you want. I also have a good benette trim tab motor that will come with it

bilgerat 02-06-2015 10:54 AM

no interest? Im posting her on THT tonight

bilgerat 02-26-2015 01:30 AM

bump

Blue_Heron 02-26-2015 10:24 PM

I can't believe it hasn't sold at this price.
Dave

bilgerat 02-27-2015 11:42 AM

Yea .I thought it would go quick at this price too, I can deliver for a price{ in the SE }

Vezo, Part II 02-27-2015 12:25 PM

Would probably cost a small fortune for me to pick it up and deliver as far north as Mass but I sure could use a reason to visit my buddy out on the Cape!.!. My Raptor doesn't tow a lot of weight, has extremely soft suspension, and gets some pretty poor fuel mileage. Probably couldn't drive after dark because my headlights are pointing at vehicles on the overpasses! Towing an empty dual axle trailer down from NJ to SC literally DOUBLED the toll bill alone! Best of luck with that beauty!

Vezo, Part II

bilgerat 02-27-2015 01:37 PM

I pull it with My chevy 1500 with a 4.3 v6, it didn't like pulling it out of the lake up the ramp but it pulled it. Im guesin the total package weighs around 5k and its balanced on the trailer well with not a ton of tongue weight .

Vezo, Part II 02-27-2015 01:50 PM

Well that would sure help. Rated for 6000 lbs but I pulled a 71 Camaro with WAAAAAAY too much tongue weight. Ft. Launderdale to Hilton Head, truck did well. 4200 lbs plus one way aluminum rental trailer. I'd do it again. Daylight only... Haha.

Where were you a year ago! I had to go to Mass to get my 25' seafari, and would of been glad to pay you $1000 plus gas to get it!

You have a 71 Camaro? I have one my self. Post up some pictures of it if you have any.

Vezo, Part II 02-28-2015 01:18 PM

No, Friz, the Camaro belonged to a friend (my outboard mechanic). He tried relocating down there and it did not work. Car was beautiful, but sold for 10G's, I believe.

With my disability I have to watch for this kind of stuff. Always nice to visit the Cape when kids are in school!!!

bilgerat 03-05-2015 12:03 PM

Just acquired a set of surge break hubs, actuator and new break lines to add breaks to one axel ill throw in for an extra 250 bucks.

Vezo, Part II 03-05-2015 11:29 PM

Hey Bro, just arrived to my house in fla.. Trailered 15' Boston Whaler down for final shakedown. 13.0 mpg!.! Can't imagine what it would cost for yours. Anyhow, be back the 16th if you find a buyer. Feel bad for my Brethren in Jersey and the Cape...

Part II

And good luck with the brake job!.!

bilgerat 03-06-2015 10:52 AM

Putting the breaks on this weekend if I get time, got the trim motor to install too. also plan on runnin the motors for a bit, haven't fired them off in a while.
