Help me pick a color

Planning on painting my boat this spring and looking for input on hull color and accents. Despite potential maintenance issues with dark paint, I'm planning on flag blue with either a white boot stripe and green bottom paint, or red boot stripe with white or "shark grey" bottom. Any thoughts?

I like the shark gray seperated by the red boot stripe the best...looks nice!

What do you think I like...:D:D:D

I think it would look great if you ran the boot stripe parallel to the waterline, not up the chine. Our 23' has it following the chine and I can't stand it, it makes the bow look like it sits so low and IMO ruins the lines. I'm just afraid the gel won't come back if I try to change it. Option #2 looks good

Thanks for the input guys. Boatboy, interesting thought. Anyone got pics of a 23 with boot stripe following the waterline?

I like #1 because it's a little different.

Just FYI on the shark white. I had it on my old boat and it turns green above the water line very quickly. May be a good reason to run the boot top parallel to the waterline if you go with the shark white.

Both look good.

Shot of my old boat.

Bryan, what kind of antifouling was that?

Interlux Shark White. I think it was the CSC.

I, for one, prefer a lighter bottom color and the boot stripe following the chine.

Go with ice blue hull Matterhorn white for the inside and shark white for the bottom

Here is blue with a white stripe.

Disregard the bottom color. But I figured the pic might help?

Blue and green

Can't beat #1...

Go for it! BTW console worked out great. Two thumbs up.

Gents, thanks for the input. After a bit of research and soul searching I've decided to have only the interior painted. If I have time I plan to wet sand and compound the hull, apply gray bottom paint and re-do the boot stripe with flag blue Interlux Brightsides. I'll post progress pics.

Cheers,
Mike

i really like the blue white green on hooligans boat. Does the dark blue hull fade or get chalky looking with age? Sharp look.
