71 views and 0 replies... Anyone know of a stainless replacement that will cover the existing screw holes? I ordered one from seadog but it ended up being too small in diameter.

I have this. The only difference is its a pop up cap that doesnt need a key.

I have a couple of the SS screw tops but like you said, smaller diameter. Try the marine junkyard in S Florida.

What do you have a 23' hull? if so I may have one in one of my 23's I will give you... That is if it is still in the boat

Surfnski 04-29-2015 04:42 PM

Yes I have a 23SF. If you have one, I'll pay you for it or trade you a nice new shiny stainless one, whatever you prefer. Thanks!

Hey Frizz,
Did you happen to have a chance to take a look for that filler neck? I got my 2nd tank all plumbed in this weekend but I'm still looking for an original deck fill to match my existing one.
Thanks,
Bill

flyingfrizzle 05-04-2015 06:59 AM

I thought about it while I was watching the race yesterday and when Junior won It screwed up my train of thought. Got a little excited for him! :D

I will look as soon as I get home from work today and let you know tonight, sorry for the delay.

Is this what you are looking for? My boat is apart and would love to trade for a new one even if I have to reconfigure mounting.

It's a little rough but should polish up nice.

Let me know.

Surfnski 05-04-2015 05:52 PM

Thanks for the offer Brian but mine looks a little different than yours.

I'm looking for one like this but labeled GAS.

Took a pic of mine, it's an original 1974 fuel fill far as I know. It looks more like the one Bryan A has. My second 23' hull has an aftermarket one.

Been watching eBay for about a month now and haven't seen one for GAS pop up yet, sooner or later I'm sure one will...

Out of all of them that is the only one on a boat that I am trying to get going, lol If you want it im sure I can install a different one. I need to redo the non-skid on the gunnels so it has to come out any way....

Man, I don't want ask you for it if you want to reuse it but if you'd rather have this new one that I picked up I'd be happy to trade you. Keep in mind that the new I'm offering is a bit smaller in diameter and does not completely cover all of the existing screw holes so you'd have to do some work there.

Here's the one I have:

No problem, I ran into that problem when I did my 20' hull. Bought one like you got and it didn't cover the back of the notch of the hole. I found a large one to cover it due to it was painted already. If you need my old one to cover the holes and don't want to patch them then I can send you this one. I am going to redo the non-skid on the gunnels on the boat that it is on and can patch the holes and redrill them. The new non-skid paint will hide all that. I already got a few screw holes to patch, what's 4 more...

PM me you address and shipping info and I will respond with mine and we can swap if you want to.
