I know its not a seacraft or even a boat but since it was primed with awlgrip marine products i thought i would share a few pictures. I had a bunch of awlgrip epoxy primer that I bought at a local marine product store at 50% off that was going out of business so I put it to use. Been working on my car a while so the boats have took a back seat the last few weeks. Car was sanded down to bare metal and primed with two part epoxy high build and skimmed with epoxy fairing compound. Spent a while sanding and blocking it down till I got it close to true. Just got a few coats of 545 awlgrip final primer on her and managed to paint the jamms with base color. I have ordered a party tent (16×32) that I am making into a paint booth to spray in. Once I get the car sprayed, I will get back on the 25 seafari. Plans are to get the bracket finished and installed then paint that hull in the home made paint booth next. I will post some pics of the paint booth once I get it fabed up. Also what are you guys using for supplied air that paint in enclosed areas? I was looking at a unit off ebay for $359 that has a filtered supply pump and a full mask with 50 foot of air supply hose. Don't want to take any chances spraying the urethane in a booth, that stuff is deadly.

Love the big tire door slammer. Had a big block Maverick laid out pretty much the same with a full 4 link and track locator. Can't imagine going through building another one from scratch again. People think boats are expensive.... Building a car to deliberately break over and over again to lose a 1/2 second is a tremendous cash vortex not may can comprehend or afford.

He`s sitting on a nice ole C10 as well. The next Farm Truck?

Many bring the air in from behind/under their shoes and up/ out.

Change your cartridges.

Back in ye olden days, everything from stock to AF/X could be fun.

Imagine the cost of 5 semis and a full crew for one team.

Fishing is participation.

The deadly vapors and particulates that you inhale when doing this work will kill you dead fast so I finally broke down and got this pump and air charged hood to keep me in fresh air. I have been using a half mask with cartages that don't get change out enough and have been pressing my luck. I sprayed some urethane a few weeks ago outside in the open air and got gassed good not to mention not wearing gloves and the gun leaked all over my hands. Well long story short I woke up with a head ache then when I went to stand up I couldn't walk due to the cramping in my legs and muscles. I got a dose of temporary (I hope) nerve damage that had me bound up for a couple of days. It went away but I don't really know what damage I did to myself. Well after that scared the hell out of me, from now forward, I will be using the supplied air unit when spraying any 2 part paints. Full tyvec suit and air supplied hood. That or I have a full mask that I may adapt to the air pump. Not playing around no more. For under $400 Shipped it was money well spent. I should of done it a long time ago. I thought just because I was out side in the open air I would be fine with a half mask, not so. Now that I bought air supply, I have a few more to do. As GFS mentioned I got a C10 as well as the 25 seafari needing paint soon so it will get used and be money well spent if it all works.

Make sure the lights and other electrical stuff in your tent are EX rated - we don't want to lose you in a puff.

This car has a pro modified style fully adjustable 4 link with a wish bone locator, The wish bone keeps it more centered threw the shock stroke a little better than a standard side bar. The links have 7 or 8 holes of adjustment per bar end so I can set it up in a wide range of CG positions. The links are tied to a 9" ford housing with a full back brace and an aluminum third member threw bolt case that has lightened nickel alloy gears that came out of Richard Childress shop. They were ran a few laps in the #29 Kevin Harvicks cup car. Got them at a parts swap meet at the charlotte motor speedway. Big tire indeed, she tucks 33-17-15's that are 20.8" wide.

The car when I got it was a dead stock daily driver that I purchased for $1200. It needed a lot of work but I drove it home. Little by little over a 15 year period it has evolved into what it is today. Me a my dad did all the work ourselves, mainly because we couldn't afford to pay anyone to do it. Lots of sweat and tears in this one. We gutted the whole thing and built a tube chassis and narrowed the rear housing our self with a jig that was machined at my dads work for us to use. It took 3 years to get it back together once we started cutting on it- so not a quick turnaround. We had just built a new motor (due to the old one broke a crank) right before I was unexpectedly laid off. Then my old lady lost her job so it sat awhile with just 7 passes on the motor. This spring my old lady got promoted to an management position and I have spent the last 3 years at a power plant rebounding from the 6 months I was lay off. I finally got back to a place where I could afford to buy gas to go in it. She sat so long in the trailer that rust started to show threw the cheep lacquer primer that was sprayed on it 10 years ago. Like mentioned I stripped it down to bare metal and re-primed it with the left over awlgrip I had. The car never had a color on it since I owned it so it was time for a cheep back yard paint job. I priced a few guys in town and the best price I could get was $4500 and that was with me doing all the prep work. Need less to say it was getting done by me. I aint no painter but after doing all these boats I am getting fair at it enough to give it a shot. Got a new set of tires and ready to get back into it. Got kids now that want to be evolved so it will be a family event. It defiantly hasn't been cheep but little by little over a long stretch of time with me and my father dumping what money and overtime in it we could spare, it has became a decent car. The good thing is when there is not funds to go racing it don't hurt a thing sitting in the trailer. We don't go ever weekend but just when I can talk the boss into some extra hours for gas money. Cant wait to smell the rubber again!

I had a orange 71 just like the old farm truck minus the camper shell, I actually sold it to buy the ol seacraft race hull and pay for the trip to FL to get it. Looks good in the Pic but it was a piece of #*&% rust bucket.

I found out the cartridges are only good for about 24 hours after opened unless you re-seal them back up. Seems like I can only get a use or two out of them so I hope this air supplied hood I bought works.

Thanks for the warning, Going to use brush-less fans and vapor tight lights and try to keep them on the outside of the windows shining in. I was going to just hang plastic in my dads shop to paint in but he was afraid I was going to blow up his building so the tent with be safer with out electric devices near by.

She was a funny dog no doubt. We have a farm truck about 1 1/2 miles away. Camper and all. Every time I see it, I smile and think of you. Orange and white with camper. Serious rod knocks. POS 307.

Now that step side is pretty. I tried to buy a 71 long bed 6 mos ago and did not qualify for a loan. Guy had a ton of new in her. Seems I`ve become a ghost. We have no revolving debt. Janet has had some health issues for a few years now, but we have gotten past those finally.

I had to get a CC to re-establish my credit which was 760 years ago. Grrr.
The guy at JJ buy right was apologetic but his hands were tied. "you are doing everything the right way, but not in the eyes of US lenders".

Very happy you have real air now.

Shame they look at things the way they do. Seems like they want to look at the book value of nothing for a fully restored truck/car for a loan value. Bank-"I know the appraisal came in at $30k but my book only shows $3k". Even worse if you don't carry 5 cards with less than a 50% open line on them you look like you don't have value. Some one that followed Dave Ramseys plan and became debt free can have a low fico score? Don't sound right, but that's not their plan. They want you about to fold under as long as it looks good on paper. They don't want some one to pay it of quick, they want you to barely able to make minimum and pile late fees on you. Its how they make money these days - taking advantage of folks. Cant wait to try out the new supplied air system, we have a $3 chilly bean pot luck on Fridays here at work- I may need it.

Sadly true. Predators. In Europe, you are born with perfect credit. So if I had an accent, I would have a neat truck. Was gonna sell the little truck and go shopping.....grrr.

I wouldn't say I stole them but I got them for a very reasonable price with what came with them. Now the Pair of Sport Master lowers- I stole them. I could sell one for more than what I paid for the matched pair easily. Shooting for 70 mph +

Nice shopping there Friz!

Mark Hauptner of Ocean Master raced from Haulover to KW with Carl in 67. Trip Merc 110`s.
They set a new outboard record of 62 overall. Mark said it was 2-4 and they lost a motah
in the lower keys. So figure 300 hp at the props and 3 lowers for most of the race.
