Wow -- all I can say. As an inboard lover sad to see on of the rarest of rares end up this way....

BA17 12-10-2015 10:07 AM

Wow. That's an interesting setup.

Bigshrimpin 12-10-2015 11:24 AM

Just amazing how clueless the owner is . . . Title of craigslist ad reads "23 Seacraft by Parker".

BigLew 12-10-2015 01:13 PM

Ignorance has NO mercy!

May it rest in peace.

I've always believed in making a boat your own...for whatever uses you have. At least he's savvy on the best ride! Definitely won't be getting a Gucci stamp.

castalot 12-10-2015 02:19 PM

And the price is just as bad

It has those same classic lines as that Great Lakes Ore Carrier the Edmond Fitzgerald...........
..............don't even think that!!!!

I do wonder if that prop pocket provides cleaner water to the outboard though. I'd be curious what kind of numbers he is seeing, be it beneficial or detrimental to performance

I was wondering the same thing! Don't think the ride could be very good way up there... Hate to stuff it into a big one I like my crooked teeth ha ha

FLexpat 12-10-2015 09:15 PM

Might have 8-10" shallower draft with the pocket. Guess that is a wheelhouse-workboat version of a Sceptre. At least the decks should be dry.

JohnC 12-11-2015 07:27 AM

If your needs are a commercial vessel with wheelhouse and a big aft deck then it's the right tool for the job. Of all the old hulls laying around to build into a work boat he picked a good-en!
Maybe a few of Mr. Moesly's Stainless Seacraft emblems will give it the "bling" it needs to get back on the Gucci list.

bigeasy1 12-11-2015 09:08 AM

Arf Arf,,, Well blow me down! That's all I can stands,I can't stands no more Where's me lovely Olive Oyl.

FAS 12-12-2015 10:14 PM

somebody should buy it ,who loves inboards, and put it back to original, not me...

CHANCE1234 12-13-2015 06:34 PM

For 20k that thing will sit there and rot for quite a while unless he comes down about 12k easy.

FAS 12-13-2015 07:38 PM

20k ?wacked....Maybe 500 dollars,no power... the money is is in the motor, what will it cost to bring it back to a nice seacraft.? 20

Miles Offshore 12-13-2015 10:14 PM

Outriggers too, lol, looks like maybe he was tuna fishing with it . Rock-on.

Duxbait 12-15-2015 04:50 PM

I agree its a shame to do that, but doesn't seem performance would be bad. Maybe at high speeds. Plenty of flats skiffs with tunnel hulls

I am not sure if there is enough meat left on the bones on this one to bring her back to her original state.

Hopefully, she has earned her owner fist fulls of cash as a workboat!
