Don't kill me...

I'm entertaining the idea of buying a 24 Silverhawk. its an 01 model year and I know its not a 23 Seacraft. I always swore up and down that when I sold my 20 that I'd get anther 23. The market is short in my area for Seacrafts that meet my needs so I branched out and found this one. I've searched here and found the 10 or so threads about them and looked on that other site too. I've talked to some guys that have them and they love em. It is an IO with 400ish hours and all maintenance records from one shop. Am I crazy? what are your thoughts??? I can't help but feel like I'm about to cheat on a girlfriend...

Chance1234 will be banned from the forums from this point on. In all seriousness, if the boat fits your needs and you cant find a Seacraft that will, you do what you gotta do.

But just remember, it is not a Seacraft. = )

Not to "up" on a Silverhawk. Looked it up on Google, is that a two piece construction boat?

check this one on thehulltruth.com, it sold long ago so I am not violating the posting a boat for sale thing, I am just showing this to illustrate what the boat he is talking about looks like and specs etc

Silver hawk has been discussed here a bunch. Don (19SC) from NJ is their top welder. 3 piece, and the best SC copy with high end finishes.

there is one across the creek from me .She is a beauty, twin 150 suzuki's on a bracket.up to date and a real nice looking ride.

All the Silverhawks I have seen have been two piece hulls. Nice running hulls though and exact copy of a 23 where it counts.

nice boats. buy one. more bow flare than a SeaCraft, I think.

It may not work out. He's asking 26500 no trailer, no electronics. I offered no where near that number for an 01 engine

CSNY..."if you can't love the one you want...love the one your with " LOL

Be patient - your 23 will come to you. Silverhawks are fine but most are I/Os and I don't like taking care of outdrives. I slip my boats.

CHANCE1234 09-23-2016 04:29 PM

I trailer so I don't mind I/os. If I blow one I'm back in business for 7k. If I blow an outboard I'm out 20k
