Glad to see your still up here, Have you ever made any progress on you race hull?

gofastsandman 12-20-2016 07:37 PM

FT stopped by the shop today.
he confirmed my suspicions that Yacht Doctors may have had little understanding of the hull.

Their customer wanted twin 250 Zukes on a bracket.
They shoved the 169 gal tank way forward and put a 50 gal tank in front of that.

FT has a full scan of his hull and was kind enough to take some measurements
from my hull.

With his amazing knowledge and kind guidance, I hope to get her right.

Thanks Steve!!!

Hey Bro, I believe quite strongly that Yacht Doctors are responsible for entire refurb of the '77 SeaCraft Seafari at our last gathering. FYI.

Frizzle,

No, I haven't had time time due to busy work and family schedules. Any spare time I do have I'm usually playing around on the prototype.

Best,
Steve

GFS,

It was a pleasure meeting up with you again.
YD may have had to put that much weight forward to make her float properly with those engines on a bracket.
Carl's the man with the amazing knowledge... I just ask questions and absorb what I'm able to comprehend. I'm looking forward to watching your project come together.

All the Best,
Steve

CG Shift with Heavy Engines

GFS & Flyingtime-
Regarding the twin Zukes on a bracket & relocation of fuel tanks, you might be interested in seeing my post of 9-24-16, Estimating CG Shift with Heavy Engines. The results of Bushwacker's ETEC moved to a bracket collaborated pretty well with this estimating tool.

Jack`s Link?

These hulls are supposed to like weight aft.
The 150s weigh @750 and the bracket 200.

Trips back in the day were 900 on the transom.

With the 60 degree or more entry and skinny shoulders who knows.
I will be leaning heavily on the racehorses here and around the web.
