So, is it just a splash from a 23' Potter, a shorter version of a 25 Seafari, or a stretched 20'? I have no issue with any of the above but there are several stretched 23' prototypes out there with flare and shear mods that may be viewed as improvements. What changes have you incorporated into this project?

77SceptreOB 01-22-2017 10:13 PM

Carl's name is spelled "MOESLY" and the 23' was a Potter designed hull.

Metan does some beautiful work but it doesn't come cheap.

An original 21 + 2ft would be awesome. Facebook pics looks like a Potter's 23.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Good luck with these boats ,they look beautiful.

Nice to see these boats being made. Mike, can you share what you made for molds and what options your going to offer for interior layout? Nice work bud!

Wish you would contribute your restoration knowledge/ experience with seacrafts instead of just using CSC to promote your business....

Bigshrimpin 01-23-2017 12:22 PM

I really like this concept of reviving classic designs and building them new with modern materials. The boat looks great!!

Its great that builders are continuing to improve on the legend...

I really like how they have done this one:http://jessiboats.com/?page_id=6549

Mike - Will this boat be at the Boston show?

Hooligan 01-23-2017 07:52 PM

No hay fotos?

Gotta say they do nice work, Their Boston Whalers remakes turned out real nice. Nice to see the hull design with modern amenities added to it. The only thing I would like to have seen different was the naming of the boat model. I know I know, its your design and you can call it what you like but it would be cool if the name had some relation to the seacraft name. Something like Classic Craft? I don't know that kinda sounds gay but you know what I mean.....

Ok tried replying to each comment or question but the site does not seem to be letting me do so. I would first like to thank those of you that had kind and supporting comments. Thank you! The plugs are in the works now and we will be having a forum here at Metan on Feb 25th to discuss insight and suggestions by a few choice respected folks I have got to know over the years. The molds will be constructed like our other Classic Collections molds that they will be designed and set up for vacuum infusion lay-ups. The original hull design was Moesly's and he is whom I am paying homage to not Potter. The names of the Classic Collections are The Pelham Bay, Manhasset, Davenport and Barretto Cove all of which are inlets or waterways in or around the Bronx NY where I grew up. Lastly I would like to respond to a gentleman's comment about contributing to this site. The many folks who have reached out to me over the years, that I have ALWAYS taking my time out of my day know the type of guy I am and in fact have gone over and above to help any way I can. There are start to finish restoration videos and slideshows on YouTube that I believe we have shown many aspects of our processes and materials used in our past restorations, I hope some have been helpful. The fact of the matter very few here on this site are my potential customers, you folks have the same love and passion as I do for these great boats and I respect that whole heartily, I just wished folks would give me and Metan the same respect before making a comment as such like the one above. I am looking forward to the introduction of the new model to the Classic Collections. I appreciate all those who have supported us and look forward to seeing some of you at the up coming boat shows.
My Best,
Mike Borrelli

I guess there is something that should be said when a person takes a line that is supposed to be a complement that I respect all the hard work the folks on this site do theirselves and have to make it sound like I am a asshole. I am sure most know what I was talking about and see I am not the asshole here.
I will continue to be here to help and advise the many of the folks who have reached out to me over the pass 20 years. Keep up the good work men! My best Mike Borrelli

Thank you for the videos of the builds - some good info there that I have found useful.

jonbrush 02-18-2017 01:14 PM

Mike, it was great to hang out at the Boston Boat Show! I only regret that I forgot the name of the pizza place in the Bronx off of 95.
