Don just go with the merc 400'r.

Let me think about that for a minute. A supercharged 2.6 liter in line six, about the same size as a 4 cylinder Honda Accord, putting out 154 hp per liter. Hummmm I'll stick with wimpy normally aspirated outboards.....I bet when it blows it reminds you of top fuel dragsters spraying parts all over the place :)

Merc made a great choice with the 150. |
Actually I think you're "Bubba's" type. Now you know why it's called the "pokie" :)

Don, I think the new 350 is going to put a bunch of fairly new 300ap motors on the market at way under valued prices. I'd put a word in with Mike at International Marine and see if he can put you in line to get into a like new trade in motor. They also have good ties to wholesalers that would take your EFI at a fair price. When I repowered they got me right at what I was asking for my DF250 with zero hassle.

Thanks Ken, I'm with ya on the used 300s being available. I'm going to Arlington for my neighbor's funeral tomorrow and when I get back next week I'm going to get serious about this. I look around the Keys and Florida's east coast and there are many two and three Zuke engine boats that the owners with money will want to trade up.....shoot I only want one. Oh yeah, that dual prop is pretty cool on the 350, who needs counter rotation on multiple engines?
