It has been a while since my last post, I have been busy on the boat I have all of my hardware, stereo (Fusion UD 750), amp (Jl audio M Series 800 Watt), speakers (4 Jl audio M880s with blue led going to hurt your ears hehe), and two ocean led underwater lights, custom glove box from boat outfitters, as well as custom console door and anchor locker door from boat outfitters. I decided to go with all Gemlux Boltless rod-holders, there will be 10, 15 degree rodholders placed around the boat 4 30 degree swivel rodholders for deep dropping and swording as well as 4, 0 degrees for storage in the transom. I cut all of the holes before it went off to paint. Painting the hull with Awlgrip Light Gray and the topsides snow white, will be leaving the covering boards gloss no non-skid for the clean look. Currently contemplating doing an all teak deck will be last to go in depending on final number into the boat.

Mr. Blue that's some very nice work there!!! Because of that I'm moving your thread to the Repairs/Mod section. Please keep the updates on your project coming. We love SeaCraft porn!!

Just an FYI, my buddy in Thunderbolt, Ga, refurbed a Bertram Bahia Mar back to all her original glory. I believe it was a 1966/2016 almost back to factory quality and in Fighting Lady Yellow. It was to be his end all/be all retirement day boat. Everything was perfect, except he put in a full teak cockpit sole. To say it was Beautiful was an understatement. However, after one season he decided to sell. I’m sure the sun is stronger there than here, but he and his girlfriend could not walk barefoot in the boat!!! Something to think about. The boat now resides on a lake in the mountains north of San Francisco, provided it survived the recent fires. Just a thought.

Michael.

Vezo, Part II thanks for the input, will definitely consider along with the price when all is said and done. If it is out of budget might go wit faux or the seadek.

The boat was stuck in paint for a while to say the least, but the painter is a perfectionist. While the boat was in paint we put in the order for a new trailer. I got the boat back last week and swapped trailers and put in the rub-rail along with all of the gemlux boltless rod holders, cleats, hinges, latches, and hatches. I decided to go with gemlux friction hinges and compression latches and they complement each other perfectly. I picked up a garmin 7612xsv to put in and it takes up the entire console:D. Probably have another month before its done.

I have a 1968 19' Seacraft that was fully redone, but nowhere near the quality you are putting into this. Where did you get the console? What size fuel tank?

I'm in Jupiter, so maybe I'll see you on the water.

Bluecraft 03-07-2018 08:02 PM

Thanks Manitunc,
The console and the livewell/leaning post is from hammerhead boats on the west coast. I do not know the size of the fuel tank as it was done by the previous owner, I am having it pressured this week and then will make an effort to figure that out.

Your boat looks incredible. I was at the boat show and saw one of the fake teak products on the new reguilator and it was quite impressive, there are several, this was was Flexiteek. In instalation it is similar to seadeck but not nearly as soft the wood grian in it it very realistic. 100 times better looking than the seadeck version of teak. I was so impressed with it I came home and looked it up. Might be a consideration vs. real teak or seadeck. Keep the SC porn pics coming.

Thanks Rybones I was planning on doing Isiteek the patented product by flexiteek. I sent in some rough measurements for a quote and it was a little higher than I had hoped for so now I am not sure what I will be doing as they were at 50$ a square foot and I have a little over 100 square feet to do the entire boat.
