My brother left Area 442 at 8 AM today heading back to NH..
Stuck on I-95 at the SC border...
He has moved 3 miles in 4 hours...
It is a mess for sure...
I was on the phone with FLexpat (Mitch) about 20 minutes ago
he suggested AmTrak which was a great idea.. Except they have canceled
all north bound trains..

My bro is screwed on this return trip..

Hey No Bones, give him my number. I’m 18 miles away. I’ll put him up.

GPS

6 Fisherman Lane
Bluffton, SC 29910

843 816 1516

He’s late for Happy Hour!!!

Putting them up for the night.. :)

Thanks Michael !!

Mike is one of the most selfless, thoughtful people I know. One of the few folks I’ve met in my lifetime that automatically thinks first to what he can do for you or anyone over himself.

Well they’re off. Not sure how good the roads are but gave him a local SC route to get him off 95 all but 15 miles. Then onto 26 West, to 77 north through Charlotte and up 81 to Scranton, PA. No snow that route and only an hour longer. Great guys. Love when a plan comes together.

Well done there Mike.

Boston does not look good at all.

Just got off the phone with bone head....
NYC is in his rear view now, approx 325 miles to go on I-95
Bean town will be a challenge.

Yep, he took 95...
Now on I-91 then on to I-84 in Conn.

He is an animal...
Drove straight through to get here for Christmas towing
a 24ft enclosed trailer loaded to the gills, took 25 hours !

He should be in Rollinsford, NH by 2 AM

Going to try to stay up till 12 for my last check-in with them.

Thanks again Mike for putting them up !

Vezo, Part II 01-06-2018 01:29 AM

Yeah, no worries. I guess roads improved enough to run 95???

uncleboo 01-06-2018 10:09 AM

Didn't get a ton of snow from lower NC to upper Virginia along the I-95 corridor. It had a little backhand slice that kept most of it close to the coast. The sun came out Thursday long enough to pretty much clear Ocean Hwy 17 after the one scraping DOT did. I'm betting he flew on 95 after leaving SC.
